We have another full slate of MLB games on this last Saturday in the month of the July. I intend to deliver a couple of winners to the betting public with my MLB picks.

Joe C. Record - 79-47 +32.28 Units

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Matt Harvey At Attractive Odds
One pitcher that I have great faith in his Matt Harvey (8-7, 3.19) and things have just not went his way. He usually gets roughed up early and by the time that he recovers, it's too late. The Mets have been playing very poorly, losing 3 straight games at a crucial time in the season and I think this is a superb spot for the Mets and Matt Harvey as they face Zach Lee, who has never thown a pitch in the majors.

My picks are primarily one unit and a handful of two unit games if I see something that really catches my eye, but we're going 3 units on this baby. We're playing with house money and there is a tremendous amount of pressure on Harvey. Also, the betting odds are as good as you'll find at -126 in favor of N.Y.

Matt Harvey has pitched well at home with a 2.95 ERA and the Mets have been dominant at CitiField, going 32-16. They couldn't take advantage of Zack Greinke missing a start as the offense disappointed again last night. They must come through today and it won't be easy as veterans such ash as Jimmy Rollins have fed off of Mets pitching. Rollins, a one time NL MVP, played for the Phillies and was a Mets killer.

Despite hitting just above .200 at an advanced age for the Dodgers, Rollins is still a Met killer. He has average Major League power at best and has a ton (I can't recall) of home runs off of Mets pitching. In his last 3 games, Rollins is 4 for 10 with 2 HR and 3 RBI. On top of that, he has hit a home run against Matt Harvey in his career and Harvey will need to be careful when facing the Oakland, California native.

Justin Turner
Who ever thought that when he was a member of the Mets, he would be a star and come back to destroy them? That's the case as the bearded Turner has dominated this series. In the last week alone, Turner is batting .542 with 2 HR and 4 RBI. In 248 at-bats this season, Turner has 13 HR, 43 RBI, and is batting a sizzling .327. His contributions for the Dodgers have been priceless.

With all of the positive information that I've listed about the Dodgers, my money is on Matt Harvey and huge!

Toronto Blue Jays avs. Seattle Mariners

Drew Hutchinson Rule Is In Effect
I had Hutchinson slated for Friday, but he was ill and luckily I still came away with the 2 UNIT Win. I will repeat myself about Drew Hutchinson. He can't play on the road as he carries an 8.81 ERA and he excels at home. You look at his record of 9-2 with a 5.19 ERA and it's all due to the run support that he has received from Jose Reyes, Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, and Jose Bautista. Hutchinson has allowed opposing hitters to hit 2.92 off of him this year.

For the Mariners, this is a great opportunity for players such as Kyle Seager, Robinson Cano, and Nelson Cruz. Cruz has been a flatout beast this season as he leads the M's in all statistical offensive categories. He has 24 HR, 57 RBI, and a .311 BA. This is after a 40 home run season for the Baltimore Orioles.

Seattle has won their last 2 games and the division leading L.A. Angels have lost their last 2 games. This game would be a great springboard for Seattle to creep back into the American League West Division race. Although I'm not thrilled that Cruz got caught with PED's, the guy is dominant and should help Seattle win today's game against the Jays. Make Seattle your MLB pick.
