Thanks to tailing the Yankees, we've been on the plus side in 12 out of or last 14 days. Let's keep the momentum rolling, with our best free MLB Picks inside.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees

No Respect For New York
The Yankees are currrently riding a 6 game winning streak and have evened their record at 22-22. On the flipside, the Blue Jays go to guys have been nowhere to be found. Josh Donaldson is playing like the player that he was as a member of the Oakland A's and not asign of last season's tremendous year as a Blue Jay.

The weather is going to be very hot and this could be a chance for the Blue Jays bats to wake up. According to odds makers, the Yankees are listed at -104 odds and that's a sign of no respect as Ivan Nova is coming off of a great start, the Yankees are at home, and they're playing with a ton of confidence while the Blue Jays are going backwards. This is definitely an opportunity to captialize at appealing odds as we continue to tail the New York Yankees.

Playing With Confidence
When the season started the Yanks didn't expect much out of C.C. Sabathia and Ivan Nova. Thus far, both players have delivered. I would be concerned in Nova's case as he'll only provide the Yankees with 6 innings at best, but they have the best bullpen in the business and 6 innings is all that Nova really needs.

In his last 3 starts, Nova is 2-0 and has pitched 16 1/3 innings while allowing just 3 earned runs. Manager, Joe Girardi is trigger happy to give the hook and has been limiting Nova's pitch count and I don't expect anything different from Girardi here especially the way that the Yankees have been playing lately. Nova could be a hit or miss in this game as the Blue Jays have some heavy hammers in the lineup, but I'm expecting Nova to pitch well with the manager keeping a close eye on him as he doesn't want this game to get away from him.

As I stated yesterday, the knuckleball can be unpredictable and it didn't work out so well for Blue Jays starter, R.A. Dickey in a New York 6-0 victory yesterday.

In this game, Jacoby Ellsbury started off the game with a triple as the Yankees never looked back. Carlos Beltran continued his hot hitting with a 2 run home run and Yankees starter, Nathan Eovaldi pitched 6 inningso of 2 hit shutout ball. While overusing the bullpen is a concern, the Yankees have a bunch of young horses and should be able to withstand a similar outing or one close to it from Nova if they are so lucky. New York isn't scoring 10 runs a game. They're scoring 5-6 runs per game, getting good pitching and defense, and that has led to their success. The Yankees are today's MLB pick.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves

Process of Elimination
This game isn't about how good that the Brew Crew are at 19-26. This game is about how bad the Atlanta Braves are at 12-32 and even worse, they're 2-18 at home. Add in some very reasonable MLB odds as the Brewers are -115 and have a major pitching advantage and this would leave the bettor and the handicapper to believe that the Brewers are a good bet here.

The Braves did defeat the Phillies on the road 3 games ago, but in their last 3 games, are 1-2 and have scored a total of 3 runs. Their leading hitter is Freddie Freeman at 8 HR, 15 RBI, and a .265 BA. That's a fairly low RBI total for Freeman as he's had nobody on base to knock in. Aside from Freeman, no member of the Braves has more than 3 home runs for the season and their starting Mike Foltynewicz (1-2, 4.57 ERA).

Mike Foltynewicz
This is a pitcher (in a short sampling) with a career 5.46 ERA. In his last start, Foltynewicz allowed 5 runs on 7 hits in 3 innings. He's certainly no Greg Maddux and facing players such as Ryan Braun (8 HR, 29 RBI, .357 BA) and Chris Carter (13 HR, 31 RBI) and Jonathan Lucroy, it looks like the Braves will hit the bullpen early as Milwaukee should win the 2nd game of this series with ease. Whether you think any of these teams are going to win the World Series or not, make sure you shop smart and check out our 'Under' MLB picks for tonight.
