We're down to the final week in the MLB Regular Season and there's still things to be decided in a 162 game season.  Let's see who we like as our MLB picks as we hover around +50 Units for the season.

Boston Red Sox vs. New York YankeesC.C. Needs To Show Something
The Yankees also need to show something as they're limping into the final week of the MLB Season. They managed to score some runs yesterday, but an early 3 spot put up by Boston, sealed the Yanks fates yet again for a second day in a row. They can't give up a ton of runs in the first inning to Boston, who are looking to play spoiler and think that they'll be able to play catch up. Yesterday, was Tanaka's last start of the regular season before he plays in the wild card game and today is "C.C.'s last stand".

Even if the Yankees win the wild card game, I can't imagine Sabathia seeing much action in the post season . Possibly an inning here or there as he's inconsistent, worn out, and unreliable.

I like the Yankees here as Sabathia brings the MLB odds numbers down and even if he pitches well, the bullpen, which is one of the best in the majors, will definitely see some work and the Yankees need to win a game against Boston, who are going nowhere. Sabathia had a couple of outstanding starts in a row and in his last start he was lesst than desiable, going 6 2/3 inning while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for his 10th loss of the season. I look for C.C. to pitch 5 or 6 solid innings in this ball game.

Salvaging a Game
After a 9-5 loss in 10 innings, the Yankees need this fourth game of this series to keep moral high and cinch things up in the wild card. Arod finally broke out of a slump and went yard and guys like Chris Young and Greg Bird continue to hit well, but the offense needs more production. Even when the Yankees make the playoffs, they'll be done early if they hit like this.

Mookie Betts looked like Babe Ruth, hitting 2 home runs yesterday and quite frankly, Boston looked like the playoff team the last few games. This is a must win situation for the Yanks and at desirable odds they are a solid MLB pick for Thursday.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles: Drew Hutchison Rule Is In Effect
I don't care if the Blue Jays look like the team to beat in the majors as they destroyed the Orioles15-2 yesterday with home runs from almost everyone in their lineup, I've been going with the Drew Hutchison Rule and it's been fairly successful this season.

Hutchison has been getting tons of run support and plays well at home on the other and, he possesses a 9.44 ERA on the road. At 13-4 with a 5.33 ERA for the season, I've never seen anything like this.

Of course it helps to have Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion in your lineup. The rule is obvious, when Hutch is on the road, you fade the Jays because he simply can't win.

When odds makers create the Jays as an underdog on the road against the O's, they obviously know that Hutchison has been having his difficulties away from the Roger Centre. I hate to bet against a team that just won 15-2, but Drew Hutchison has given me no choice and has been inept on the road all season long.
MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-173) at 5Dimes 2 UNIT PLAY
