After yet another undefeated day of MLB picks, I'm looking to go 100-54 on the 2015 season with 2 more wins on Friday. The aces are out in full force and I feel that good pitching wins baseball games.

Recap
Yesterday was a day that I considered one of the toughest days in a long time and still went undefeated as I faded Chris Heston and the San Francisco Giants and took the Cubbies and I also took a leap of faith and backed C.C. Sabathia and the Yankees. There was a pivotal moment in the Yankee game in which Sabathia was facing David Ortiz with the bases loaded and struck him out and after that I knew that I was going to go undefeated for another day. Today, I'm more confident as i see good MLB odds and good matchups.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Kershaw Has His Eyes Set On Hersheiser's Scoreless Inning Streak
I can probably go with teams that are hotter or not facing Gerrit Cole (14-5, 2.29), but there is nobody better in the majors than Clayton Kershaw when he's pitching well. Kershaw hasn't allowed a run in his last 4 starts.

This covers a span of 34 innings and in his last 6 starts, he's allowed just 2 runs (48 inning pitched). It's getting to the point where if the opposing team gets a bloop base hit, Kershaw is upset with himself. He expects perfection and that's the type of pitcher that I want to back and the odds are appealing with L.A. as Cole is also a top-notch pitcher. That said, Gerrit Cole has been inconsistent and very hittable as of late. He's actually lost two of his last 3 decisions.

No Pushovers Here
One thing that bothers me about the Dodgers is that they're not a good road team at 25-28. They currently lead the pesky San Francisco Giants by 3 games in the National League West Division and right now, the goal is to keep a gap between them and the Giants.

This game will be a test as Kershaw will face the likes of Andrew McCutchen (16 HR, 68 RBI, ,291 BA) and Starling Marte (13 HR, 56 RBI, 21 SB,and .289 BA). The Bucs have power, but can play small ball as they're a team with a lot of speed. This helps them on offense and in the field. Pittsburgh is loosing their grip on the Cardinals as they're currently 6 games behind the Redbirds and they can't afford to lose this game.

Contributions From Grandal
The Dodgers always rely on Adrian Gonzalez in the power department, but Yasmani Grandal is the hottest hitter on this squad. He's 10 for his last 19 at bats with 1 HR and 4 RBI. If L.A. can scratch out a couple of runs, they should be money here as Kershaw is a flatout beast and doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.

MLB Pick- Los Angeles Dodgers -132 at 5 Dimes 3 UNIT PLAY

New York Mets vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Mets on Fire and deGrom Starting
I made a point of telling the readers of my success with the New York teams and that I wasn't going to stop taking the Mets until they lost. I picked them with Colon, I picked them with Niese, and obviously I'm going to pick them with Jacob deGrom (10-6, 2.09) getting the start as deGrom has been the best pitcher on the Mets pitching staff and one of the best pitchers in the league.

deGrom will have somewhat of a home field advantage as he's a Florida kid and the Mets won't be intimidated by the crowd as Tropicana Field has the worst attendance in the league, The Mets are currently on a 6 game winning streak and even with a gamed Jake Odorizzi facing them, they should destroy the Rays as Tampa Bay is currently 54-55 and sit 8 games behind the 1st place New York Yankees.

New York's achilees heel was always their offense, but if you look at the top half of their lineup, they appear much improved. Curtis Granderson has speed and power, Daniel Murphy is a consistent guy that gets on base, Yoenis Cespedes can hit for average and power and Lucas Duda has picked up the pace with a barrage of home runs like a ball of fire.

Not only does New York have the best pitching staff in the majors, but they have the better offense in this game. The only way that New York loses this game is if deGrom has a poor outing or gets injured and I don't expect that to happen. Make it 7 consecutive wins for the Amazins.

MLB Pick- New Yok Mets -120  at 5 Dimes 2 UNIT PLAY ( This would be a 3 unit play, but Jake Odorizzi can shut an opposing team down)
