Everything is going our way, yesterday we still make a profit off struggling Bartolo Colon & tonight we'll see if we can keep the ball rolling for our followers with our MLB Picks of the Day.

Going With the Hot Hand
I've been riding the Mets and Yankees like a jockey on Secretariat and I don't intend to stop now. If they're going to keep bringing in profit, it makes the work that much easier. I mentioned Bartolo Colon earlier and feared taking him yesterday as he's been awful. Thats said, the Mets have taken over the National League Eastern Division with not only pitching, but with hitting and they showed this to you yesterday with a 12-1 victory. Yoenis Cespedes got his initiation into the club,so to speak as he smashed 3 doubles in a Marlins Park in which it's difficult to hit home runs. Cespedes is the perfect addition to this team as Detroit has completely given up and given away a star for nothing.
Today we have another pitcher that's not in the Mets "Big 3" of starting pitching in Jonathan Niese (5-9, 3.63) and all it does is making the MLB odds more appealing if I were to select the Mets. Niese hadn't got much run support as his record indicates, but the Mets offense has woken up lately.
Grandy Has Been Dandy
Curtis Granderson has been tearing the cover off of the baseball while setting the tone for the offense. Grandy is coming off of a 3 for 5 performance in the blowout and is on a 5 game hitting streak. We take it a bit further and he's hit safely in 9 out of his last 10 games. In the last week alone, Granderson is hitting .357 with 3 HR and 9 RBI. He's the total package for a leadoff hitter with speed, power, and ability to score. Now Granderson is hitting for average and this makes the Amazin's unbeatable. Granderson is hitting.258 with a .351 OBP%, 17 HR and 40 RBI.
The Mets are becoming a much deeper team offensively with Lucas Duda leading the way. I see no reason for them to stop winning now. Make New York your MLB pick.

Chris Archer Against Chris Sale
This is all that you need to know about this game as the pitching is quite dominant here. Archer, who lacks the run support, has had a stupendous season at 9-8 with a 2.54 ERA. He's coming off of an 11 strikeout performance against the Detroit Tigers and still picked up the loss. Archer is pitching to a 2.26 ERA on the road and averages more than a strikeout per inning. Chicago's offense is far from scary and Archer should have an easy time of it on the "South Side".
Much canbe said about Chris Sale as can be said about Archer. Although he's not having a Cy Young Award winning season, he's 9-6 with a 3.20. Sale has 177 strikeouts in 137.2 innings as he's possibly the best pitcher in the league where striking out batters is concerned and is holding opposing hitters to a .232 BA. Sale's ERA is a bit bloated as he allowed 7 runs and 12 hits in 5 innings in his last outing against Boston, but I don't expect a lingering effect. Expect a very low scoring pitcher's duel in this game.
