MLB Picks Of The Day: Moneyline Plays To Knock Outta The Park

One thing noticeable very early in the season and that's an amazing amount of home runs leaving the ball park. Let's see if that trend continues today & get some MLB picks too.

San Francisco Giants (1-0) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (1-0)

The Brewers are Bottom-Feeders
If you couldn't see that after yesterday's 12-3 San Francisco win, then you need a pair of glasses. Milwaukee's pitching is their Achilles Heel and all season long, you will see this as they're a 100 loss team.

Yesterday was the perfect example as these two teams played the first game of the day and the Giants spanked the Brew Crew. The Brewers are a perfect fit for the Giants as San Francisco has a superb pitching staff and Milwaukee, the complete opposite. While I'm not expecting guys such as Denard Span to be knocking in 5 runs and the Giants to have 4 home runs each game, the momentum that they have should carry into this game.

Johnny Cueto Back in the NL
After a disappointing 11-13 season with the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals, Johnny Cueto goes back to pitch in the National League and quite frankly, I expect him to excel there as he was an ace with the Cincinnati Reds.

Cueto carries a career record of 96-70 with a 3.30 ERA and there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to hold the Brewers in check. The only thing that concerns me is the roof being closed in Millers Park as the weather is unusually cold for this time of year, but expect Cueto to return to his old form; the form that made him one of the best pitchers in baseball 2 years ago.

Don't Expect 12 Runs From S.F.
While the Giants have a bunch of hitters that are great at filling their role such as Denard Span, Hunter Pence, Brandon Belt, Matt Duffy, and Joe Panik and they have a very capable leader in Buster Posey, this isn't a team that's going to hit a ton of home runs. They win by playing small ball and pitching well at the same time. That's what you should see in this game as the Brewers have no resistance to offer. Take Cueto and the Giants as your MLB pick at a relatively good price.

Colorado Rockies (1-0) vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (0-1)

A Shocking Loss
I must admit, I was all over Zack Greinke last night and missed the mark as the Rockies lit Greinke up for 7 runs in just 4 innings. That was very unexpected after the season that Greinke had in 2015. Remember folks; that's one game. It's played and done with and if anything, will make the Diamondbacks less of a favorite and if you like them in this game, that's to your benefit.

I'm going back to the well with Arizona to right the wrong as Shelby Miller (career 3.22 ERA with St. Louis) makes his debut with the D'backs.

One game is one game and I still know that the Rockies are a bottom-feeder. One decisive victory won't scare me away as Arizona did make a comeback in last night's 10-5 loss, but came up short.

Bounce Back Effort in Arizona
While David Peralta came up huge, the rest of the D'backs didn't. Expect that to change as Paul Goldschmidt is still one of the best hitters in baseball. Expect a 30 plus home runs, 100 plus RBI, and .315 to .330 season from the superstar and it starts tonight after yesterday's utter disappointment.. Don't expect Trevor Story to go yard twice again. It was a simple fluke and Arizona is at a good price here on the MLB odds boards and that's the name of the game. Make them your selection with confidence!
