This has been a super-successful MLB betting season and I don't know when the next loss will be, but don't be discouraged and stick with us as losing isn't acceptable as long as I'm writing the MLB Picks of the Day article.

For Monday's MLB picks, I predicted that the Yankees would win and Arod would do something on his 40th birthday and not suprisingly, the Yankees won and Arod went yard. My other pick was the San Francisco Giants and we won with the moderate betting favorite. Let's keep this winning train rolling- Motto of the day: "Expect to win."
On today's slate, we have a ton of good pitchers and the MLB odds are appealing. What does this mean? The opposition is formidable.
New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers: Riding the Yankees Until They Lose
First off, I want to say that this is a tough slate of games tonight. In this case, we go to our bread and butter in the New York teams. While Noah Syndergaard has been amazing for the Mets, he occasionally gets no-decisions and can't finish the deal. With the Yankees, you have a team that's proven to have come from behind victories, are starting to run away with the American League East Division, have won 9 out of their last 11 games, and have won games with pitching that has been sub-standard. Bottom line is the Yankees are at a great betting price and are a far superior team to that of the Texas Rangers. It's not a great pitching night in this game, but that's where guys such as Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira can go only 1 for 4 or 1 for 5 and that one hit being a home run and making a difference in the game.
It's when the Yanks get contributions from Didi Gregorious, Chris Young, and John Ryan Murphy, you can expect them to crush their opponent. Brett Gardner has been setting the tone all season long for the Yankees as an All-Star, but his average has dipped below .300. Gardner always slows down late in the season because he gives it his all and can run out of gas or needs to "re-fuel". This is the type of game where an unexpected player picks up the slack for the Bombers.
Chris Capuano (0-4, 5.64) get's the start and Joe Girardi hasn't given him any opportunity to get his feet wet and he's pitched poorly. Nevertheless, I expect the Yankees offense to pick up the slack if Capuano indeed gets the hook and the bullpen and middle releivers can match up with any team in this league. Yankees continue to roll.
MLB Pick- New York Yankees -108 at 5 Dimes 3- UNIT PLAY (Although this is not really worthy of 3 units, the Yankees are on a major run)
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Toronto Blue Jays: It Is What It Is
The Blue Jays haven't necessarily been specatacular and their lineup will see some re-arranging as Jose Reyes has been traded to the Rockies for another power bat in Troy Tulowitzki. Reyes hasn't had a great season and neither has Tulo, but if Tulo can prove that he can play outside of Coors Field, you have a very intimidating lineup in the Blue Jays in the form of Tulowitzki, Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, and Jose Bautista. You're going to see a lot ot over the totals with the Jays as this is true power. However, if Reyes was playing better, I wouldn't agree with the move.
The Phillies answer to all of that power is starter, Adam Morgan (1-2, 4.28). I don't know if this is much of an answer for a team that can't hit to save their lives, but it's all Philly has to offer. Morgan has made 5 starts to the season and hasn't won since his first start. He's just a guy to fill up innings and the Phillies hope that he can at least keep them in the game.
The lack of offensive power just kills Philadelphia and that's why they're a major underdog. They have guys that can get on base such as Ben Revere and a slugger past his prime in Ryan Howard, but this is an awful baseball team. While it is true that any team can win on any given day, Philly isn't winning here and being that we're playing with house money, I'm laying the massive amount of juice and taking the Jays, who are in 2nd place in their division and at home as my MLB betting pick.
