After a couple of rotten days,we came back strong with our MLB Picks and look to keep the ball rolling as the schedule never stops. Time to fill the loyal bettor's pockets.

Joe C. Record: 11-9 -.0.28 Units

Yesterday, we managed to kill the Coors Field curse and take the under 11 and win by 2 runs with some good pitchers and although I had faith in Corey Kluber, I decided to fade him as this season hasn't been a good year for aces and it payed off according to the MLB odds boards. Let's keep it going with a similar night to that of last night.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals
Two Teams Going In Opposite Directions
The Atlanta Braves ,as expected have been a disaster at 0-7. This is a team that I said to take the under with their future win total. They'll be lucky to see 50 wins this season and that's being generous. There's nothing much to say about them as their pitching staff is a disaster. Aside from Freddie Freeman, there are no positives on this squad.

On the other hand, the Washington Nationals have come quick out of the gate, going 5-1 and to make things even more attractive for the Nats, Steven Strasburg (1-0 ,1.50) takes the mound and although Strasburg has never lived up to expectations as a professional baseball player, the potential can't be denied as it's still there. I look for Strasburg to have a huge game as long as he keeps his pitch count rather low.

Washington isn't scoring a ton of runs as they're coming off of a 2-1 victory over Atlanta and have averaged just 3 runs per game in their last 3 games, but this game won't be a challenge and let's not forget, the Nats have Bryce Harper on their team .I wouldn't trade Bryce Harper for the entire Atlanta Braves squad. What does that tell you?

Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy
Hitting all of those home runs in the post-season last year sure has done a lot for Daniel Murphy's confidence level as he continues to be a flatout beast, hitting .500 with 2 HR and 7 RBI in 6 games. Murph leads the Nats with 19 total bases. That's two ahead of teammate Bryce Harper, who is also playing quite well. Harper has 2 HR, 5 RBI and a whopping .481 OBP%. This tells you that opposing pitchers want no part of Harper and after last season, could you blame them?

God forbid if Strasburg get's hurt. I actually think that -207 odd is low. I'm going to double the ante and make the Nationals a 2 unit play as  we win easily here.

New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto Isn't As Good As Last Year
I don't know if it's the loss of David Price or leadoff man, Ben Revere,  has affected Toronto, but the Blue Jays have really started the season slow and I don't see this changing. Maybe not winning the World Series in a season in which they had the best offense in the MLB last season has affected them.

Tonight,"Pinetar Pineda" (1-0, 20.80 ERA) faces J.A. Happ and as inconsistent as Michael Pineda is, I think that he's going to stifle the Blue Jays offense, which is still loaded with studs.

McCann Can
Brian McCann might have finished a successful season at a slug's pace last year, but he's on fire this season as he blasted a home run against Toronto last night and is leading the New York Yankees in every offensive statistical category except for ribbies.

Thus far, aside from superb play behind the plate, McCann is hitting .500 with 2 HR and 4 RBI. Basically, the entire Yankees team is getting on base often and that's a different story from last season. I look for it to continue in this game as Happ doesn't scare me and like I said, Toronto isn't playing up to par. Make the Yankees your underdog MLB pick.
