Detroit Tigers (13-6) vs. Minnesota Twins (8-10): The Price is Right
David Price takes the ball after a rather rocky start in which he allowed 8 runs and 10 hits in 2 1/3 innings to the New York Yankees. Even with the poor start, his ERA is still at a respectable 3.28. What I've noticed about Price is he can have some monster outing in which he strikes out over 10 batters and pitches in excess of 110 pitches and there's the occasional game where he get's rocked.
The circumstances weren't the greatest in his last start. The weather was near 32 degrees farenheit and there was some snow. That said, Adam Warren had to pitch under the same conditions. I can't see Price having another terrible start. He's too good a pitcher and faces a perrenial loser in the Minnesota Twins.
Price also has a loaded offensive lineup at his disposal. Rajai Davis, who leads off, has been tearing the cover off of the baseball with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 6 SB, and a .341 BA. It seems like whenever Davis is on base so is Ian Kinsler (10 RBI,.307 BA.) and both are a threat to steal. After that, the Tigers have a bunch of mashers with the best player in the game in Miguel Cabrera (3 HR, 13 RBI, .377 BA) and the Martinez's. Currently, J.D. Martinez leads the Tigers with 5 home runs and 14 runs batted in on the season.
The Tigers do face a team in the Twins who come into this game with some confidence with back to back wins over the Seattle Mariners on the road.
The Twins should be tired, but Joe Mauer will be coming into this game with a bit of confidence as he hit the game winning triple in extra innings to defeat the M's on Sunday. The only thing that I don't like about this game are the betting odds, but I like David Price to bounce back in a major way, therefore we'll lay the juice and place my MLB pick on Detroit.

Tampa Bay Rays (11-8) vs. New York Yankees(11-8): Momentum and Resiliency
I'm a momentum capper, therefore this really isn't like me as the Tampa Bay Rays have won 5 straight games as opposed to the Yankees 1 game winning streak. However, I like the resiliency that I saw from the New York Yankees in coming back to defeat a New York Mets team that they hate and they took 2 out of 3 from a Mets team that who were scorching hot before the Yankees series.
The last time that these two teams met at Tropicana Field, that Yankees had the Rays number and I'm expecting more of the same and at good odds in the Bronx. Just like David Price, Adam Warren will need to redeem himself from a bad outing against the Tigers. David Price practically handed his most recent game to Warren and the Yankees on a silver platter and Warren was unable to get anybody out. Warren is 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA.
Willie Mays: Move Over?
Alex Rodriguez is sitting on 659 home runs and the Yankees management aren't planning any festivities when Arod ties Mays due to his PED usage and lying, but Arod has been one of the go to guys on this team as he's nearing his 40th birthday.
For the season, Rodriguez has 5 HR, 13, and a .267 BA and he's done it all clean. I must admit, as a Yankees fan, I can't wait to see the fan reaction when he hits homer 660 and I sure hope that it's at Yankee Stadium.
This game is a case of co-divisional leaders. The Yankees have the home field edge and coming off of a series against the Mets, I think it gives them a leg up . Take MLB odds favorite New York as your betting pick.
