There are a lot of really appealing MLB games on the slate for Tuesday so here are your valuable MLB Pick of the Day as we've chosen to stay away from the rain.

Oakland Athletics vs. Toronto Blue Jays: Drew Hutchinson Rule Is In Effect
I have had a tremendous amount of success in games that Hutchinson has pitched. Simply stated, when Hutchinson is on the road, he carries an ERA of over 8.00 and is an insta-fade. When Hutch is at the Rogers Centre, you take the Jays unless he's facing an elite team and pitcher.

In this case. Toronto is the play as Hutchinson and the best offense in the league face the Oakland Athletics and starter  Kendall Graverman. Graverman has respectable numbers for such a poor team as he's 6-7 with a 3.90 ERA. Graverman should keep the A's in games against most squads, but against Toronto, it's a different story as the Jays possess the best top 4 in their lineup in the league with the addition of Troy Tulowitzki. Ever since Tulo has played for the Jays, he's fit right in and has proven that he can hit home runs in places other than Coors Field. Graverman hasn't won a start in his last 5 starts and will have his hands full.

Donaldson Faces His Old Team
I'm sure some of the members of the Athletics are resenting the fact that Josh Donaldson has turned into an MVP-like candidate with Toronto since leaving Oakland. Donaldson has been simply dominant. He should be a a factor in this game after the Jays swept the Yankees in Yankee Stadium and are just 1.5 games behind the Bombers in the American League East Division. This series might appear lopsided, but it's of utter importance for Toronto and they can't take Oakland lightly.

Getting back to Donaldson, he's batting .297 with 31 HR and 83 RBI on the season. If the Blue Jays make it to the post-season, Donaldson has a great chance for league MVP as Mike Trout is on a slightly weaker team in the Los Angeles Angels.

All of Donaldson's numbers are dominant. He's hitting .344 with 20 HR and 50 RBI at home, he's also hitting .364 with 4 HR and 6 RBI in this last week alone and Donaldson has also hit the Athletics well. Toronto is a team that has Ben Revere hitting last in their lineup. In any other lineup, he'd be hitting at the top of the order. Enough said. Make Toronto your MLB pick as this game will be guaranteed to be played as the Rogers Centre possesses a retractable roof.

Washington Nationals vs. Los Angeles DodgersTime To Make Up Ground
It doesn't appear as if the Mets and Matt Harvey will play tonight, therefore the slumping Washington Nationals have an opportunity to cut the Mets lead to 1 game in the National League East Division. The only thing preventing the Nats from accomplishing this feat is Zack Greinke.

Greinke has had an MVP-like season, pitching to an ERA of 1.71 to go along with his stellar 11-2 record. Greinke has been so good all season that he allowed 6 runs and 7 hits to the Philadelphia Phillies in a rare poor outing and his ERA is still way below 2.00. It will be interesting to see how well Greinke bounces back from his last performance as the Nats are a motivated baseball team.

Ian Desmond
Ian Desmond has always been reliable for Washington, but has had a poor season. That said, Desmond has started to regain his old form as he's coming off of a 2 home run game and has hit .324 with 3 HR and 8 RBI in the month of August.

Washington has plenty of firepower with players such as Escobar, Harper, and Zimmerman. If Werth and Desmond play to their potential, the Nats can give the Greinke a run for his money as the Dodgers offense is merely average at best. Odds makers have made the Dodgers a very heavy betting favorite in this game. The juice is too much to deal with after Greinke's last start. I'm going to take the under as I trust the pitching in this game.
