It's not the greatest of starting pitching on the docket for the MLB today, but in return, this provides the betting public an opportunity for better betting value with no decisive favorite.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Colorado Rockies
Runs Are Spreading Like Wildfire At Coors. This is the way that Coors Field will always be. It will make players look better statistically as opposed to their natural ability and we're going to continuously see a ton of runs being scored there especially if the pitching is weak.

With a Toronto Blue Jays team (41-37) invading Coors Field, this is a team that possessed the best offense in baseball last season. Yesterday, we benefited off of the betting total as most people are scared of the high betting totals. I tend to think the opposite. A betting total can be reached at Coors Field when taking the over by mid-game or if it's a low scoring game, there's always a chance that a team can run off a 6 or 7 spot in an inning and turn a low scoring game into a high scoring affair.

Yesterday, the Blue Jays started off in Coors Field on a sour note in a 9-5 loss. Both starting pitchers pitched as well as can be expected, but with a 6th and 7th inning explosion, we saw home runs by Carlos Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado, Edwin Encarnacion, and Josh Donaldson . In total, 11 runs were scored in these two runs alone, therefore the bettor is never out of the game.

I get the feeling that the road team, gets a look an initial look at the starting pitcher and just how far a ball will carry and the next couple of times, get's locked in. I don't see why we wouldn't see anything different in this game as Eddie Butler (2-4, 6.71) of the Rockies squares off against J..A. Happ (9-3, 3.42 ERA), who is having a rather good season, but is also receiving runs support.

Happ should receive run support although this isn't the same Toronto offense. In Butler's last 2 games, he's allowed a total of 12 runs and 20 hits in 8 1/3 innings. In his last 7 starts, Butler's Rockies, have lost every game. Although that appears appealing, we stick to the total as Coors Field is the new "Launching Pad 2.0"

Texas Rangers vs New York Yankees
Both Teams Must Be Exhausted. I witnessed yesterday's or actually today's Texas 9-6 victory over the Yankees with a rain delay that included 4 hours. This game wasn't over until at least 2:30 a.m. est. While most teams would be exhausted, I feel that this game was huge for the Rangers as they came back after the rain delay trailing 6-5 and being that Aroldis Champman was unable to pitch, Sin- Soo Choo and some other Rangers took advantage of some really awful Yankees pitching.

The game ended at 2:44 a.m est to be exact and this 9-5 loss could be the loss that does the Yankees in for making the post season as reliever, Kirby Yates, basically handed the game to Texas on a silver platter as he plunked 3 Rangers batters. Some of those HBP's were with 3 strikes and manager, Joe Girardi was there to watch his reliever basically crap this game away.

The Yankees have also been mentioning a lot of Alex Rodriguez and being that he can't play the field, the end of the road could be coming, but Arod disagrees. Arod is scheduled to play tonight, therefore he definitely has something to prove. This is an all time great and I expect him to deliver along with Mark Teixiera, who has hit a home run in two consecutive games. We might see Teixiera get on a run here after a disastrous start to the season plagued by poor play, but mostly injuries.

Can Hamels Land the Knockout Blow?
This is the perfect opportunity for Cole Hamels to play the Yankees as the Bombers have to be drained. Hamels is 8-1 with a 2.79 ERA and the MLB Odds are very appealing as Hamels faces C.C. Sabathia.

In his last 10 starts, Hamels has only had 1 official loss. In his last 5 starts, he's been "money", allowing 7 earned runs on 22 hits in 34 2/3 innings. Aside from Carlos Beltran, who might be playing the best baseball of his career at 39 years of age and a confident Teixiera, Hamels controls his own destiny as he possesses a confident offensive lineup to support him and he should come out strong in this game. I really like the turnover factor with little rest for New York. Make Texas your MLB Picks.
