Another day, another chance to win with my MLB picks of the day! Join us as we preview two MLB games scheduled tonight for you to big win with your selections!

Joe C. Record 115-63 +63.19 Units

Everything has been falling right. The Baltimore Orioles found the answer for Noah Synbdergaard, who is lousy on the road, the Houston Astros came back last night to regain their lead and eventually win in extra innings and the night before, Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez smahses a grand slam against the Minnesota Twins to give us the victory there in a 3-unit play. You can't make this stuff up. Just go as far as it will take you and I will!

Cleveland Indians vs. New York Yankees

Right Back to the Bronx
I said that I wouln't let up on taking the Yankees unless there was a real good reason and I've been winning every Yankees game that I've picked. This game is a great example.

You have a Yankees team that are flying high from the Rodriguez grand slam and have had a day off, playing at home, playing against the underachieving Cleveland Indians, and the odds are respectable because Ivan Nova (5-4, 3.57) is pitching for New York. While Nova and his injured finger are a definite concern, the Yankees are a definite pick as they have the bullpen and offense to back it up.

Cleveland has lost 2 straight games and are in the basement of the American League East Division at 55-64. There is no reason why the Tribe should win this particular game unless Nova just doesn't have it and that's unlikely, but possible.

Greg Bird
We know that in Arod's post game interview, he wanted to sound politically correct because he wants to be accepted in baseball again and he should be accepted after this season. He did mention Greg Bird, who is filling in for an injured Mark Teixeira and Bird is going to be something special. Bird is coming off of a 2 home run game against Minnesota and has picked up hits in 4 of his first 5 games. He's definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Another player to keep an eye on is Carlos Beltran. I will never forget that post-season run that he was on a long time ago when he was with the Houston Astros. Although older, Beltran is super streaky.Beltran is hitting .333 in the month of August with 5 HR and 9 RBI and has his seasonal average up to .272. This is quite amazing from where he came. Joe Girardi needs Beltran in that lineup as the Blue Jays, who lost to the Phillies last night, are nipping at New York's heels. Take the Yankees as your betting pick.

Washington Nationals vs. Colorado Rockies

Scherzer at Coors Field
I usually have gotten my totals right in the past concerning Coors Field, but this season, I haven't . I have that golden rule of taking the under if a quality pitchers hits the mound at Coors Field and Max Scherzer (11-9, 2.73) is a quality pitcher no matter what the 9 losses say.

The total is listed at a hefty 10, even for Scherzer. Scherzer has flopped in his last 2 starts and hasn't recorded a win in his last 3 starts. He's on a Washington Nationals team that is desperately trying to chase down the New York Mets as the Mets pitching staff has excelled.

There are a lot of hard hitters in this game in the form of Harper, Blackmon, Cargo, and Arenado, but my gut is telling me that Mad Max holds the Rockies in check as this game is super important for the Nats.

It's been a while, but Carlos Gonzalez is back to being the "Cargo" that he was a couple of seasons ago. He has 28 HR and 69 RBI's and part of the reason is playing at Coors Field. Cargo has been struggling as of late, going 3 for his laat 21 at bats, but still hit 2 HR and 5 RBI. There will be some offense in this game, but not 10 runs worth as long as Scherzer regains his composure.
