We have a mostly even playing field on most of the baseball games for today. See who we like to take down some cash and convert a tough day into a plus day with our MLB picks.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Seattle Mariners
The King at -125? That's not a bad deal for an MLB pick! The Seattle Mariners at odds of -125 at Safeco Field with the best pitcher in the American League in the last decade in Felix Hernandez starting tonight. Hernandez has consistently taken care of business, striking out the opposition, and has gone deep into games.

In the past, his offense has been the Achilees Heel for the M's and taken some wins away from Hernandez. Now, he's on an 18-13 team and the Mariners have a couple of all-stars in Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz. Robinson Cano couldn't have been happy with his first season in Seattle and has really took matters into his own hands. He was always a 20 -25 home run guy for the Yankees. Maybe the MLB should do some random PED testing.

Master Blaster
Cano leads the Mariners in almost every statistical offensive category and is the reason why they're a winning baseball club. He was always an all-star player with New York, but I don't recall him hitting 12 HR and 33 RBI up until May 9th.

Cano is also hitting .305, has 81 total bases, 20 runs, and 39 hits. These are amazing numbers and we'll have to give Cano the benefit of the doubt as the rest of the Mariners players have been merely average. Nelson Cruz, who is supposed to be the go to guy on this team has just 5 HR and 16 RBI and is hitting .268. However, Cruz does manage to draw a lot of free passes as his .371 OBP% indicates.

Tampa Bay starter, Matt Moore (1-3, 4.95 ERA) would be wise to pitch around Cano, but King Felix should only need a few runs to win this game as the Rays aren't heavy hitters with Evan Longoria leading the way.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Minnesota Twins
Odds makers appear to think that the Orioles can only hit at Camden Yards ,which is a home run hitter's park as they've labeled the 8-23 Minnesota Twins betting favorites in this game. I think the MLB odds are way off as the Orioles can go yard in any park with the like of Manny Machado, Chris Davis, and Mark Trumbo. Baltimore (18-12) is by far the superior club in this matchup. Although the O's road record is just 5-7, their talent can't be denied as they look to take down the American League East Division Crown.

Baltimore is coming off of an 11-3 victory at home against the Oakland Athletics in which they hit 6 home runs. Manny Machado led the way with 2 home runs and 6 runs batted in. Machado is the story of this team. I know that Mark Trumbo (9 HR, 24 RBI, .325 BA) is having a breakout season, but Machado has the ability to be listed in the category of a Bryce Harper or Mike Trout and he also has youth on his side.

For the season, Machado is hitting .350 with 9 HR and 22 RBI. He has always been a doubles specialist and this season is no different as he already has 15 doubles. He's also had at least 2 hits per game in 7 out of his last 10 games. The guy has a gun for an arm on defense and doesn't mind flashing it off at times. I know that the Orioles haven't particularly played well on the road, but they're the team with the talent and the momentum and an easy selection in this contest.
