After another winning day, we're looking to repeat the process. Listed below are our top picks for Friday with in-depth analysis in our MLB Picks of the Day installment for the last Friday in May.

Minnesota Twins vs. Seattle Mariners

Big Chalk
The Seattle Mariners (28-18) haven't always provided "King" Felix Hernandez (4-3, 2.21 ERA) with run support and they've been a poor team at home as the dimensions at Safeco Field are difficult to hit the ball out of the park, but this is a total mismatch as they play possibly the 2nd worst team in the MLB in the Minnesota Twins (12-34).

The Twins are just 4-19 on the road and just like the odds makers lay out these astronomical odds when Clayton Kershaw is pitching for the Dodgers, they're doing the same with Hernandez as the M's are a -221 betting favorite. This is tempting as we've been playing with house money and you have the best pitcher in the Amercian League for the last decade pitching in King Felix and Robinson Cano has made it a mission of his to hit for power this season. Plain and simple; the Mariners are just a better baseball team.

In their last 2 games, the Mariners offensive has been alive and kicking, outscoring their opponent 19-5.

Proving a Point
People, including myself, were saying what a terrible move it was for Cano to leave the Yankees as he could've been in Monument Park and a Yankees legend. The ballpark fit his hitting style to a tee and he was the best 2nd baseman in baseball as a Yankee. He did something that most players wouldn't do and took the money. He also hasn't fared so well out in Seattle until this season.

It seems like Cano has made a mission to prove that he's the real deal as his power numbers are even higher than when he was with the Yankees. Teaming up with Nelson Cruz (10 HR, 32 RBI, .393 OBP%), this combination is deadly and opposing pitchers want nothing to do with them as their on-base percentage indicates.

For the season, Cano, leads the Mariners with a whopping 111 total bases. He also has 14 HR, 43 RBI, and a .295 BA. Instead of looking to hit for average, Cano is looking to go deep and he's been successful. This will be a concern to Minnesota starter, Pat Dean (3.86 ERA), who has started just 3 Major League games in his career. Seattle should defeat and destroy the Twins in this matchup at home.

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies

Coors Field Rule Is In Effect
I announce this to the readers everytime I cover a Rockies game at Coors Field as this method of betting seems to work most of the time. As we know the betting total at Coors Field is always going to be in double digits unless the a Kershaw is pitching and you can't be intimidated by 2 teams needing to score 10 or more runs in taking the over. When there's average starting pitchers or worse, I jump on the over no matter how bad a team the Rockies (22-24) are and when there's two starting pitchers that are above average, I take the under.

Holding His Own
To have an ERA under 4.00 and be a member of the Rockies pitching staff, a pitcher is holding his own and that's just what Tyler Chatwood (5-3, 3.02 ERA) has been doing.

Chatwood is definitely a quality starter with 4 out of his last 5 outings being quality outings . He's facing the top team in the National League West Division with many capable hitters, but I expect Chatwood to pitch well.

Matt Cain (1-5, 5.37 ERA) is the concern as I had faith in him to get his first win of the season in his last outing as he had been pitching well, but not getting the support. Cain's numbers are awful against Colorado, but he's allowed just 4 earned runs in his last 21 innings. I'm going to show some faith in Cain and we're going to take the under the total in this ball game as I think both pitchers are capable of pitching well.
