Today, I see some really appealing MLB Picks and I'm ready to provide them to you, the public, as we strive to expand our bankroll. It's MLB Picks of the Day for Friday.

Coming off of the biggest plays of the day yesterday, we nailed the Chicago MLB Pick but it was offset by a high total in the Texas / Baltimore game with elite pitchers. I explained yesterday's picks and Chicago was a beauty, but we're behind last year's pace and need to pick it up; plain and simple. Now we've got to recover, so read on and profit!

Seattle Mariners at New York Yankees
Lou Severino
After a 2 -game losing streak, the New York Yankees are just what I thought that they would be. They're an average team that will provide 10 runs one game and 1 run the next. This is why the Yankees are 4-4.

That said, they still have a shot at the playoffs despite my future pick of under 85.5 wins. Right now, the under is looking real good where wins are concerned as they possess a bunch of high priced, under achieving veterans.

Three positives for the Yankees today is that they're back at Yankee Stadium, play a below average Mariners squad, and young upstart, Lou Severino (0-1, 5.40) get's the start. One can't judge Severino off of one start as last season, he proved that he has a major upside. I get the feeling if the Yankees can put up 4 to 5 runs for the 2nd year pitcher, it will be good enough.

Brian McCann
He didn't hit for average last season, but Brian McCann's swing was built for Yankee Stadium. As long as he's a Yankee, he's going to get the Bombers 30-40 homers each season as the shift (defensively) is always on for the left- handed hitter with a short Yankee Stadium porch,Thus far this season, McCann is off to a quick start as he leads the Yankees in hitting, going 10 for 22 (.466) with 10 runs and 17 total bases.

The Yankees have some major power between the combination of Brian McCann and Mark Teixiera (3 HR, 8 RBI) and if they're to have any chance to get into the playoffs, these men will need to slug around 70 home runs combined because there are no Jose Altuve's on this team that will bat .330. The Yankees used to play small ball, but now it's home run ball this season in the Bronx.

Where the Mariners are concerned, they're quite capable of winning this game, but this is a rotten spot for them as the Yankees have been on the road for most of the season and there's nothing better than "home cooking". Also, the Yankees are simply the better team withe spectacular MLB odds.

Chicago White Sox at Tampa Bay Rays
Chris Sale Gets the Start
Although he's been a bit inconsistent as of late, Chris Sale (2-0, 3.86) is possibly the most intimidating pitcher in the majors as he's the king of the strikeourt; the Nolan Ryan of baseball if you will.

He won't win every game, but every game that he pitches is a power affair and that's a tough deal for the opposition. Tonight, it's the Tampa Bay Rays (3-6) and the Rays simply are a team on the decline with Evan Longoria as their star and their home field is dead.

You can hear a pin drop at Tropicana Field and that's just what Chris Sale (1025 strikeouts in 897 1/3 career innings) wants to deal with. It's as if the Rays have no home field advantage and this is a neutral site game; pretty pathetic and a great opportunity for Chicago to capitalize on .

Jose Abreu
The White Sox wouldn't be off to this 7-2 start if it weren't for the leadership of star, Jose Abreu. While Adam Eaton is hitting .394, it's Abreu who has an OBP% of .410 along with 2 HR and 5 RBI.

He's a force to be reckoned with where the opposing pitcher is concern and they would much rather give Abreu the free pass. It's true that Adam Eaton and Melky Cabrera are hitting well, but Abreu is the leader on this ball club as they're exceeding epectations.

Look for the White Sox to defeat Jake Odorizzi and an inferior Rays club despite Odorizzi being a respectable Major League pitcher.
