Everything is going our way as we continue to dominate our MLB Picks of the Day. Let's not get ahead of ourselves as there are still 2 months left to the season. Why stop here? Time for the picks.

Success
Everything we've been touching has been turning to gold. The key is hitting the higher value MLB picks and not having an 0-2 day. As I've stated earlier, momentum is such a key factor with handicapping. I've had luck with the New York teams and I've publicly stated that I wouldn't stop taking one team until they lost. First, it was the Yankees and now it's the Mets. We hit Thursday and the schedule becomes a bit unorthodox as some teams don't play as they gear up for the weekend series.

There is a limited amount of night time games. The goal is to break even or be on the plus side as this is a transitional day.

San Francisco Giants vs. Chicago Cubs

Defending Champs Making Their Move?
We've got some tough games tonight, but Chris Heston has been a flatout beast for the San Francisco Giants all season long. Thus far this season, Heston is 11-5 with a 3.24 ERA. The Giants need a big effort from Heston as they are 59-48 and just 2 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West Division. The Giants are a winning road team and although Heston hasn't lost a game since June 14th, he had a rare poor outing in his last game in Arlington against the Rangers.

Where the Cubs are concerned, they're not used to having winning seasons, but this season has been a huge success as rookie Kris Bryant has gotten acclimated to Major League pitching and Anthony Rizzo has been simply splendid, tearing the cover off of the baseball. Rizzo has been playing like an MVP-candidate type of player as of late and the Cubbies will need him to continue this type of play tonight against the defending World Champions and throughout the rest of the regular season if the Cubs are to be thinking WIld Card.

Chicago is 58-48 on the season, but are 9.5 games behind the Cardinals and there are plenty of contending teams in the National League. Point being, every game is important for the Cubs and a game at home with Rizzo playing the way that he's been playing and the Cubs having won 7 out of their last 10 games, they need to keep the pressure on the teams with the better records.

How Good Is Anthony Rizzo?
He's not a Mike Trout, but he leads the Cubs in every offensive statistical category. For the season, Rizzo is batting .294 with 21 HR and 63 RBI. He leads the team in hits and carries a .400 OBP%. This is due to pitchers pitching around him and sending him to 1st base on a free trip. This season has been a turning point in Rizzo's career.

My 1st instinct was to side with Heston, but I can see him pitching well and still getting a no-decision. This game is huge for Chicago and they're at home, been playing well lately, and the odds are appealing. Make this a small play with the Cubs.

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

Yankees Need Five to Six solid Innings Out of C.C. Sabathia
C.C. Sabathia can do all of the cheering from the dugout that he wants. If he cant play well or even be servicable against the last place Red Sox, he's headed for the bullpen. New York is coming off of a low scoring loss in which the offense had a poor rare outing, but starter Luis Severino, showed the Yankees that he is the real deal and can easily replace Sabathia.

For the season, Sabathia is 4-8 with a 5.54 ERA. I feel like this same type of pick that I made when I recently picked Bartolo Colon for the Mets and he proved the public wrong and showed that there's still a little gas left in his tank.

Sabathia is in the same type of spot here. He must have a good showing as he's on a short leash. If we pick the Yankees and Sabathia fails, we still have one of the most powerful lineups in baseball to fall back on as Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez are proving to be the Comeback Players of the Year. Therefore, there is a little slack for Sabathia who possesses a 6.80 ERA at home this season and hasn't had a quality start since July 19th against the Seattle Mariners.

Where the Red Sox are concerened, they don't have much to offer. Occasionally, like yesterday, you're going to get a game where the opposition doesn't hit and Big Papi takes advantage of an inexperienced kid pitching. This was the case, but a rarity. They don't scare me at all. Take the Yankees and hope that C.C.puts up a decent outing.
