We have reviewed the MLB odds and have honed in on three totals for Wednesday night. Let’s sweep the board in our MLB picks this evening.

Reds (6-7-1 O/U) vs. Brewers (8-5-1 O/U)
These two clubs combined for 26 runs as Cincinnati outslugged Milwaukee 16-10 but expect a much different game tonight. Because while those bats were hammering opposing pitching on Tuesday night the Reds’ ace Johnny Cueto will be taking the hill tonight and totals have gone low in six of his last seven starts when he faces the Brew Crew. Tonight will be no different.

To buttress that argument the ‘under’ is 35-16-1 in the last 52 meetings between these NL Central rivals. Milwaukee’s Jimmy Nelson has been a pleasant surprise in the early going allowing just two earned runs over his first pair of starts this season. Forget about all the fireworks last night and don’t overthink this one. Go low with your MLB picks.

Padres (11-4 O/U) vs. Rockies (8-6 O/U)
In the recent past the San Diego Padres have hardly been known for their offensive prowess but this season they appear to be quite –offensive! The Padres have plated 80 runs already in the early going which ranks them 3rd in the majors coupled with a team batting average of .286 which also places them 3rd in MLB. Their last two games against the Rockies have seen them light up Coors Field to the tune of 21 combined runs which not surprisingly were both San Diego victories.

As we all know the air is thin and balls fly long and far in Denver which is why the MLB odds totals are naturally skewed high but I will not be deterred even though San Diego is trotting classy veteran pitcher James Shields to the mound. Shields has pitched well for his new team but he is not invincible as evidenced by his 3.79 ERA in three career starts against the Rockies.

On the flipside we have Colorado’s Kyle Kendrick who has been blasted in his last two starts surrendering 14 earned runs against the Cubs and Dodgers while lasting an average of less than five innings in those two contests. There will be more scoreboard changes than J-Lo has evening gowns tonight in Colorado.

MLB Pick: Over 10 (-120) at Pinnacle .com.

Rangers (7-6-1 O/U) vs. Diamondbacks (6-8 O/U)
The Rangers took Game 1 with a decisive 7-1 victory over the D-Backs and will be looking to notch another win tonight. The MLB odds total in that one was 9 which was a wee bit too high and I feel the total tonight is pretty much the same. I say that because tonight’s starting pitchers can keep their opposing hitters at bay with Yovani Gallardo taking the hill for Texas while Archie Bradley gets the nod for Arizona.

Gallardo has pitched well so far this season particularly in his last start against the Mariners when he went six full innings and surrendered no runs in a 3-1 Rangers victory on April 17th. Countering Gallardo is 22-year-old Archie Bradley who has looked stellar in his first two career starts, both victories, against the Dodgers and the Giants. Bradley has allowed a grand total of only five hits on two earned runs and should be a force once again tonight.

Gallardo has been overwhelming when facing the D-backs in his career registering an 8-0 record with a 1.75 ERA in 12 regular season and playoff starts as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers. And though his uniform has changed he is still the same pitcher and we expect similarly striking results. Look for this one to stay under the MLB odds run total.

MLB Pick: Under 9 (-115) at BetDSI.com.
