It's Sunday, so get yourself ready for an early start to today's baseball action.

Braves (Wood) vs. Phillies (Lee)

Covered by Joe Freda

Cliff Lee remains in Philadelphia and will start tonight's late game against Atlanta, who will start Alex Wood. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST.

No one can stop the Braves right now. They've won nine in a row and in the process have pushed their lead in the NL East to a whopping 11.5 games. Nonetheless, Lee has been a tough nut to crack all season, which is why the Phillies are listed as -125 favorites at most of the sportsbooks. Is it time for Atlanta's streak to come to an end?

Rangers (Holland) vs. Athletics (Griffin)

Covered by Joe Freda

There's no better time for the Rangers to make up some ground than starting today. They'll be on the road against the Athletics, who currently own a 3.5 game cushion in the division, so this is the perfect opportunity for Ron Washington's gang.

A.J. Griffin starts for Oakland and Derek Holland takes the bump for Texas. The MLB odds show the Athletics as -125 favorites, while the game's total is at 7.5 runs. Check back later to see which way Joe ends up going with his sports picks.

Yankees (Hughes) vs. Padres (Kennedy)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Yankees are getting healthier, but is it too late? Phil Hughes is one of the reasons New York isn't higher in the standings, as he's rocking a 4-9 record to go along with a 4.58 ERA and 1.34 WHIP.

Today the Yankees will test their stuff against Ian Kennedy, who makes his San Diego debut. When we last checked the MLB betting lines, the money-line was actually even on both sides, with New York and San Diego both at -110. The total opened at an even eight runs, with early action coming on the UNER.
