Sunday is here, meaning we've got an early start for baseball.

Get yourself situated with a quick overview of the morning MLB odds.

Rangers (Perez) vs. Tigers (Verlander)

Covered by Willie Bee

Martin Perez has made five starts for the Rangers this season and hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of them. He'll have to be extra sharp against a hard-hitting Tigers lineup, especially with Justin Verlander on the mound. Detroit is favored at -170.

Red Sox (Workman) vs. Athletics (Colon)

Covered by Joe Freda

Brandon Workman will make his first official start in the majors today. He'll face off against a tricky Athletics offense, with Oakland (-150) set to call on Bartolo Colon, who's been nothing short of spectacular this year.

Cardinals (Wainwright) vs. Cubs (Wood)

Covered by Joe Catalano

We get that Adam Wainwright has been a stud all throughout the season, but Travis Wood has been excellent himself and the Cubs have been playing better ball as of late. Chicago is given a realistic chance here at +135 in the MLB odds.

Angels (Blanton) vs. Mariners (Iwakuma)

Covered by Joe Freda

Hisashi Iwakuma and the Mariners are favored at -125 to win over Joe Blanton and the Angels. Blanton has been roughed up countless times this season, so it's relatively surprising that this number isn't a little higher.

Mets (Gee) vs. Pirates (Cole)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Though Gerrit Cole has lost each of his last two starts, the Pirates are locked in as -160 favorites at the sportsbooks. Dillon Gee hasn't been too shabby though, so New York may be worth a look with your sports picks for the day.

Giants (Zito) vs. Padres (Stults)

Covered by Willie Bee

Barry Zito has quite an act to follow after Tim Lincecum's spectacular performance last night. Eric Stults, though, is coming off a complete-game win over Colorado in which he surrendered four hits and one run. Will the Padres take care of business as -150 favorites?
