Check out our overview of the upcoming games for this afternoon, inside.

Red Sox (Dempster) vs. Orioles (Feldman)

Covered by Ron Patrick

It's been a tough month for Ryan Dempster. He's recorded a 5.40 ERA in three July starts and faces a difficult test against Chris Davis and the rest of Baltimore's power-heavy offense. The Orioles will have Scott Feldman on the mound, who's gone 2-1 with a 4.73 ERA in four assignments for his new team.

Baltimore shut Boston out in the opener yesterday and Ron is picking the Orioles to come through at the sportsbooks again tonight. Feldman and company actually find themselves as underdogs and that's something our handicapper isn't going to pass up.

Angels (Richards) vs. Athletics (Milone)

Covered by Willie Bee

Joe Blanton has finally gotten the hook, with Garrett Richards set to take his spot in the rotation. He'll go against Tommy Milone and the Athletics this afternoon and Oakland will come in as the clear-cut favorite on the MLB odds board.

So far in this series, Willie has picked both games correctly. Will he nail his selection again today? It's a different kind of play, as Willie thinks the offenses will break out and help the OVER 8.5 cash in this AL West showdown.

Astros (Keuchel) vs. Blue Jays (Johnson)

Covered by Willie Bee

It doesn't matter that Josh Johnson is 1-6 with a 5.66 ERA for the season. He'll lead out the Blue Jays as humongous favorites today, which basically is testament to how bad the Astros have been throughout the season. Toronto's favored at -250 at some books.

We're in agreement with Willie here. He's finding it hard to see any value on the side since Johnson has struggled and the Astros are tough to back in any situation. So, he's going to add the OVER 9.5 runs to his sports picks for the day.

BONUS PICKS

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Indians (Masterson)

With Justin Masterson at 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA and Yu Darvish sitting pretty at 9-4 with a 2.86 ERA, this evening's game between Cleveland and Texas should be a fun one to watch.

When it comes down to finding value, we feel the best price is on the Indians here. Darvish has been excellent, but Texas has been having a hard time as a team and Masterson isn't likely to make life any easier. Let's roll with the Indians as +115 dogs.

Mets (Gee) vs. Nationals (Haren)

Hardly the most glamorous game here, but it should be noted that the Mets have been playing at a much higher level recently. As for the MLB odds, it's Washington (-150) that's favored.

As inconsistent as Dan Haren and Dillon Gee have been, we're wondering why the total isn't higher than eight runs. With that said, let's take a flier on the UNDER to wrap up our bonus MLB betting picks.

Wondering if there are any weak spots in the MLB odds for Saturday?

Red Sox (Dempster) vs. Orioles (Feldman)

Covered by Ron Patrick

The Red Sox are no longer in first place in the AL East, as Tampa Bay's rout of New York last night pushed them into the top spot. Boston has now dropped two in a row coming into this evening.

Scott Feldman and the Orioles were -125 favorites at time of this writing, with the Red Sox available at +120.

Angels (Richards) vs. Athletics (Milone)

Covered by Willie Bee

Garrett Richards moves into the rotation in place of the struggling Joe Blanton. Richards has a 4.66 ERA and 1.32 WHIP on the season.

Meanwhile, Tommy Milone will try and build on a solid start his last time out on the mound. Oakland gets the nod as the MLB betting favorites at -135, while the total's at 8.5 runs.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Indians (Masterson)

Covered by Joe Freda

A good one here, with Justin Masterson aiming to out-pitch Yu Darvish in a matinee game in Cleveland. Early sports betting odds list the visiting Rangers as -115 favorites.

With Masterson at 6-2 with a 2.91 ERA at home and Darvish at 3-1 with a 2.83 ERA in seven road starts, tonight's game could easily be decided by a solitary run.

Mets (Gee) vs. Nationals (Haren)

Covered by Joe Freda

The two teams split yesterday's double-header, as Washington won the nightcap thanks to a walkoff homer from Ryan Zimmermann.

Today we've got a much less attractive pitching duel between Dan Haren and Dillon Gee. A quick run over the odds shows the Nationals favored in the range of -140 to -145.

Astros (Keuchel) vs. Blue Jays (Johnson)

Covered by Willie Bee

The second largest favorite of Saturday is Toronto. The Blue Jays are -210 to win behind Josh Johnson over Dallas Keuchel and the last-place Astros.

It's wild to see Toronto favored by so much considering Johnson has allowed 14 hits and 12 earned runs over his past eight innings of work. This line seemingly tells it all.
