You can never know too much when it comes to handicapping. Here's the breakdown the MLB odds.

Braves (Teheran) vs. Cardinals (Miller)

Covered by Willie Bee

Adam Wainwright pitched a complete-game gem in St. Louis' victory last night, so let's see how Shelby Miller holds up tonight. Miller is 6-3 with a 1.99 ERA In 12 home starts this season, but did lose in his one appearance against Atlanta earlier in the year.

Atlanta will counter with their own young buck in Julio Teheran. He shut down the Cardinals in seven strong innings in his one outing against them, but the home team is still listed at roughly -130 to win game two of the series for our MLB picks.

Pirates (Liriano) vs. Giants (Lincecum)

Covered by Ron Patrick

It's been amazing what Francisco Liriano has been able to do this season. Though he was beat up by Colorado a couple weeks ago, he responded by tossing a complete game in St. Louis, and then he fanned 13 over seven shutout innings in San Diego. The guy has been otherworldly.

Unfortunately for San Francisco, Tim Lincecum has been far from reliable and that's never been more evident than over his last two assignments, in which he's allowed 11 earned runs in 11 innings. With Liriano in such fine form and the Pirates playing some solid baseball, the road team is -130 tonight.

Red Sox (Lester) vs. Dodgers (Ryu)

Covered by Swingin' Johnson

The Dodgers have now won four games in a row and this ridiculous run of theirs has put them 10.5 games ahead of Arizona in the NL West. A 2-0 win over Boston, thanks to Ricky Nolasco's wonderful pitching performance, was the latest bout of good news for Don Mattingly's team.

This afternoon will it be Hyun-Jin Ryu or Jon Lester that win out on the mound? Both have been performing at a high level recently, so we could very well see another low-scoring game here. The Dodgers are -120 favorites, while the total's at seven runs.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. White Sox (Santiago)

Covered by Joe Freda

What's next in the Yu Darvish show? What a season he's been having, as he looks to keep it going against Hector Santiago and the White Sox in the Windy City. Darvish has been downright nasty on the road in 2013, going 5-2 with a 2.62 ERA while holding batters to a .171 average.

Santiago, however, has been better on the road than he has at US Cellular Field. He's 1-3 with a 4.03 ERA in nine home starts, but he did hold Texas to one earned run over 5 and 1/3 innings earlier this season. Still, the Rangers are big -185 chalk for tonight.

Nationals (Zimmermann) vs. Royals (Davis)

Covered by Joe Freda

So Jordan Zimmermann went 12-4 with a 2.58 ERA in the first half of the season. Since the All-Star break, he's 2-3 with a 6.75 ERA in five starts. Things are just not going well for the right-hander at the moment.

Can Zimmermann find his groove again in Kansas City tonight? Washington should be able to give him some run support against Wade Davis, who's been awful (5.43 ERA and 1.75 WHIP) throughout the year. When it comes to the MLB odds, both teams are listed at -105.

Angels (Vargas) vs. Mariners (Ramirez)

Covered by Joe Catalano

Garrett Richards was masterful in Seattle last night, leaving L.A.'s Jason Vargas with a tough act to follow. Erasmo Ramirez will pick up the start for the Mariners, who are just 31-33 at Safeco Field in the 2013 season.

Only two runs were scored in total last night and we should be seeing a lot more offense this time around. The total is at eight runs, while on the money-line we find the Mariners at -125 and Mike Trout and the Angels at +115.
