The Atlanta Braves have cashed five straight tickets, including Tuesday’s 11-3 triumph as home favorites over the Colorado Rockies. Can they continue their winning streak?

Wednesday’s MLB betting has the foes continuing at Turner Field, with Atlanta’s Mike Minor (10-5, 2.89 ERA) facing Colorado’s Tyler Chatwood (7-3, 2.48 ERA).

Braves, Freeman stay hot

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman cracked two long balls in Tuesday’s win, finishing with four RBIs. Atlanta’s Justin Upton poked a pair of doubles, while Jason Heyward hit 3-for-5 from the leadoff spot.

Colorado took an early 3-1 lead with a two-run homer from third baseman Nolan Arenado, while his club was edged in hits, 14-7. Rockies outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Dexter Fowler were both held to 0-for-3 nights, with Gonzalez striking out twice.

Minor goes seven for win

Minor logged his second win in three starts with Friday’s 4-1 victory for Atlanta as a 104 home dog over the St. Louis Cardinals. The 25-year-old allowed four hits over seven innings, giving up a solo shot to Cardinals slugger Yadier Molina.

Braves relievers Jordan Walden and Craig Kimbrel tossed one frame each of hitless relief, logging a hold and save, respectively. Minor helped his own cause with an RBI-single, giving his squad a 2-1 lead in the second inning.

Chatwood fans 11 at home

Chatwood notched a second straight win on the same night of action, with Colorado’s 8-3 triumph against the Milwaukee Brewers. The California native tossed 11 strikeouts over seven innings, cashing as a 142 home favorite.

Colorado’s Michael Cuddyer and Todd Helton united to hit 3-for-7, logging one RBI each. Chatwood drove in a pair of runs with an early double, finishing with a 2-for-2 night at the plate.

Back the ‘Under’ in Atlanta

Early MLB odds opened Minor as a 162 home favorite, while first listing the ‘total’ at 7.5 (‘Under’ minus 115). The weather forecast in Atlanta calls for 76 degrees, with an 85 percent chance of thunderstorms.

I am adding the ‘Under’ in this duel to Wednesday’s sports picks, looking for the set’s octane to drop.

Minor has held lineups to a stingy .242 OBP and 0.94 WHIP over 11 home starts, with the ‘Under’ collecting at 2-1-1 in the span’s latest four outings. The southpaw faces a Rockies club that has hit a sparse .233 against left-handed pitching on the road.

Chatwood has yet to allow a homer on the road, cashing ‘Under’ tickets at a 5-1 clip in his six starts away from Coors Field (36 2/3 IP). The third-year hurler comes in with tight numbers, allowing just six earned runs through his last four outings overall (27 2/3 IP).

The ‘Under’ is 11-5 in Colorado’s last 16 spots facing a left-handed starter, while going 4-1-1 in Atlanta’s last six home dates opposing a listed righty. Minor’s last pair of starts against the Rockies both saw the ‘Under’ cash, including a one-hitter over seven frames in September’s 1-0 home win for the Braves.

Umpire Marty Foster is slated behind home plate, with the ‘Under’ collecting at a 4-1 clip in the Denver native’s last five called games in National League parks. Look for the ‘Under’ to collect again here, with a close contest between these foes.
