The Rangers shoot for the three-game sweep of the Indians Wednesday afternoon at Progressive Field. This early matinee looks like a value one to bet, so be sure to check our MLB pick inside.
Wednesday's Betting Line
In the early betting most books were chalking Cleveland and Carlos Carrasco at around -165 over Texas and Colby Lewis, with MLB odds offering a total of 8.5 runs.
Texas has taken the first two games of this series, winning 10-8 Monday and 4-3 Tuesday. The Rangers trailed last night 3-0 early, but Prince Fielder drilled a three-run homer in the top of the fifth to tie it, and Mitch Moreland broke that tie with a solo shot in the top of the eighth.
So Texas has won seven games in a row, scoring 49 runs in the process.
The Rangers also just added the recently re-acquired Josh Hamilton to their lineup, although he's 0-for-seven at the plate so far.
Carrasco started well this season, then gave up 21 runs through his next five starts, covering 32 innings. He looked better, though, last time out, when he held Cincinnati to two runs through six innings, with seven strikeouts, in a 7-3 Cleveland victory.
Carrasco started against Texas nine days ago, giving up five runs through eight innings of a 5-1 Tribe loss.
Lewis began this month with three straight quality starts, but has been touched for 10 ER and 15 hits over his last two outings, covering 11 2/3 innings. One of those outings came against these Indians 11 days ago, when he gave up five runs in five innings of a 10-8 Texas defeat. That game played OVER its total, as have each of Lewis' last five starts.

The Rangers are riding a seven-game winning streak, and they're getting a nice underdog price. The value on today's line lies with Texas. Also, these two starting pitchers are a combined 11-7 on the OVERS this season, and games played at Progressive Field this year are 15-8 on the OVERS. So we're thinking OVER.
