The Tampa Bay Rays will look to get back on track with their ace on the mound, as they take on the Boston Red Sox Saturday. Let's look at the Betting lines for Price vs. Lackey.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for Game 2 of this American League Division Series at Fenway Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:37 p.m. ET on TBS.

Bad things happened

Tampa Bay was unable to hold onto an early lead in the opening game of this best-of-five series, as it suffered a 12-2 blowout loss to Boston as +118 road underdogs Friday, while going OVER the betting total of 7.5.

The Rays are 8-3 in their last 11 games as a road favorite, with the OVER going on a 13-6 run in that situation.

Everyone got involved

Boston showed little to no rust in the middle innings of yesterday’s victory, as all nine starters had at least a hit and a run.  The franchise has gone 18-9 in the postseason at this ballpark since 2003.

The Red Sox are 9-25 in their last 34 games as home underdogs, with the UNDER cashing the last six times in that situation.

Rays starting pitcher David Price (10-8, 3.33 ERA) has led the club to three consecutive victories, including a 5-2 road win over the Texas Rangers Monday, as he surrendered two runs and seven hits in going the distance.

The left-hander is 8-3 with a 3.11 ERA in 15 road outings, with opposing hitters batting .248 against him.

In 20 lifetime efforts against the Red Sox, Price has compiled a 10-6 record and 2.93 ERA, including a 6-1 mark and 1.88 ERA in 10 appearances at this venue.

Red Sox starting pitcher John Lackey (10-13, 3.52 ERA) hasn’t been on the mound since suffering an 8-3 road defeat to the Colorado Rockies on Sept. 24, as he allowed four runs and six hits over six frames in that affair.

The right-hander went 6-3 with a 2.47 ERA in 13 home games, issuing just 15 walks and striking out 77 batters in 91 combined innings.

In 21 career games versus the Rays, Lackey has tallied a 12-7 record and 4.39 ERA, including an 0-1 mark and 8.10 ERA in two efforts in 2013.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Rays in the first five innings for their MLB picks, as they’ve won seven of Price’s 10 starts in Boston.
