Colorado Rockies vs. Cincinnati Reds
Runs should be scored in bunches on Tuesday night when the Rockies and Reds face off at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. Jorge De La Rosa is the scheduled starter for Colorado and the veteran lefty has had one good start and one bad start so far this season.

He hasn't faced Cincinnati since 2014 but the Reds lineup should have a solid showing against him as Cincinnati is batting better as a team against lefties early in the season hitting .267 and averaging 4.94 runs per game against southpaws.

On the flip side, Alfredo Simon gets the start for the Reds and he is a strong 'bet against' pitcher for me right now. Simon was not good last season as a member of the Detroit Tigers with a 5.05 ERA last season and he was lit up in his previous start against the Chicago Cubs as he failed to get out of the very first inning while allowing 5 runs along with 3 walks in a 9-2 Reds loss.

Cincinnati has the 28th ranked bullpen in MLB and Colorado's bullpen is ranked dead last at 30th in MLB in ERA and both of these shaky bullpens have potential to open the door for late runs from both squads in this game.

Both of Simon's first two starts with Cincinnati this season have sailed 'Over' the total and the same goes for Jorge De Rosa and it's also worth noting that each of De La Rosa's last three starts against Cincinnati since 2010 all went 'Over' the total.

From a side perspective, I'd still lean to Colorado in this game but my stronger betting opinion here is to look 'Over' the total as my MLB pick which should be around 8 in this ballgame.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles
Advantage Blue Jays in the first game of this AL East series against the Orioles. Toronto will send their ace Marcus Stroman to the mound and he is coming off a dominant outing against the NY Yankees allowing 2 runs on 3 hits in 8 strong innings in a 4-2 win for the Blue Jays last Thursday night.

He mowed down the Orioles in his lone start against them last season surrendering just a single run on 5 hits in 8 innings here at Camden Yards last September. I'm not overly impressed with Baltimore starter Mike Wright who will get the call here.

He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits and lasted just 5 innings in his last start against Boston and in two starts against the Jays last season, Wright allowed 7 runs in just 5.1 innings of work in those outings combined and Baltimore lost both games by a combined score of 10-5.

Baltimore had the final game of their weekend series against Texas postponed due to rain so the extra layoff could present some problems for them in terms of being sharp in the first game of this series. Toronto should be a moderate favorite in this game and the price should be worth laying with the Jays here.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants
I am very bullish on the San Francisco Giants this season but not so much here in this particular matchup. Matt Cain is struggling to regain his old form for the Giants right now and he has given up 8 runs in 10.2 innings of work through two starts this season against the LA Dodgers and Colorado.

He's been throwing 15+ pitches per inning on a regular basis this season which indicates he is pitching in trouble with runners on base frequently. Arizona should be very familiar with Cain facing him all these years as a divisional opponent and they hit Cain fairly well in their lone time facing him last season scoring 4 runs on 8 hits in 5 innings against Cain.

His mound opponent in this game is Arizona lefty Robbie Ray who is showing signs of taking steps forward in his development as a Major League starting pitcher, and this progression is reflected in the MLB odds boards.

Ray has allowed just 4 runs in 12.1 innings of work over his first two starts of the season against the Chicago Cubs and the LA Dodgers--two very solid lineups and pitching in San Francisco and the spacious confines of AT&T Park should be a solid fit for him here.

Arizona is likely to be an underdog in this game and at any plus price, the Diamondbacks are worthy of endorsement in this game.
