It's a must-win situation for the Texas Rangers as the MLB is defined by how a team plays in the playoffs. Do this teams have anything left in the tank to preserve their seasons? Find out with our MLB Picks of the Day.

Texas Rangers vs. Toronto Blue JaysRight Where They Want Them

Let's face it, the Texas Rangers have played poorly at the end of the MLB Regular Season and it's carried over to the post season against a team that they hate in the Toronto Blue Jays. I happen to think that the Rangers were never as good as their record indicated and were in a lousy division to begin with.

For Toronto, this is a team with tons of firepower on offense and even the bottom half of their lineup went deep on Yu Darvish, led by Troy Tulowitzki. This is a Blue Jays team that came into the post-season and defeated the Baltimore Orioles in the AL Wild-Card Game and are playing with a ton of confidence and the pitching has done the job. All of the pressure is on Texas.

Aaron Sanchez

We can talk all day long about the Blue Jays own big 3 in Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion, who has been tearing the cover off of the baseball as of late, but this game comes down to the starting pitching and Blue Jays starter, Aaron Sanchez has had a near perfect season before manager John Gibbons started limiting Sanchez's starts.

For the season, Sanchez is 15-2 with a 3.00 ERA. He got off to a fast start to the season and had a bit of a rough August and September, but Sanchez finished off the season strong with 4 consecutive quality outings. In those 4 outings, he allowed just 1 run in each start. While it's definitely true that run support has helped Aaron Sanchez, he's the guy that Toronto want's to go to battle with as they attempt to shut the door on the Texas Rangers season.
