Coming off of another easy 2-0 day we look to carry the momentum over to Saturday's slate of MLB games as this is a really good card with teams looking to improve their chances of making the post-season. Here are your coveted MLB Picks of the Day.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Kansas City Royals

Danny Duffy vs. Aaron Sanchez
The defending World Series Champion Kansas City Royals (51-58) may be having a dismal season, but their starting pitcher for tonight, Danny Duffy (7-1, 2.98 ERA) is coming off of one of the best outings that you'll ever see and is pitching at a very high level this season. He will need to tonight as he faces one of the favorites to win the AL Cy Young Award in Aaron Sanchez (11-1, 2.71 ERA). Sanchez has been totally reliable all season long and he plays for a team that packs a punch offensively. That said, Sanchez hasn't needed anyone's help as he has been nearly perfect and has snuck up on some bettors and fans of the game alike.

Flatout "Stingy"
Although it's just one out outing, Duffy is coming off of an 8 inning masterpiece in which he struck out 16 batters while allowing 1 hit and 1 walk to the Tampa Bay Rays. In his last 10 starts, Duffy hasn't allowed more than 3 runs in 9 of them. The other being a game in which he allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 6 1/3 innings to a hard-hitting Detroit Tigers offense.

You can bet that Danny Duffy will keep pitching well and this game will come down to will the Royals be able to scratch out a few runs against Sanchez or being able to get to the Toronto bullpen. I think that they have a better chance of getting to the Blue Jays bullpen as Aaron Sanchez has been downright stingy. In his last 8 starts, Sanchez hasn't allowed more than 2 earned runs in a start and will usually give the Jays 7 solid innings.

Even though the Jays have crushers such as Edwin Enacarnacion (30 HR, 91 RBI) and Josh Donaldson (27 HR, 77 RBI, .411 OBP%), I think this game has under the total written all over it with MLB odds showing under 7.5. Good pitching wins games and that's what you have in this contest between Toronto and Kansas City.

Miami Marlins vs. Colorado Rockies

Coors Rules Are Not In Effect
We get a nice high Coors Field related bloated betting total of 11 1/2 runs and although the starting pitching in this matchup of Andrew Cashner (4-7, 4.54 ERA) vs. Chad Bettis (9-6 ,5.16 ERA) isn't stellar, these pitchers pitch well enough to keep the game under the total as they've been pitching better than the earned run average indicates.

We take a look at Chad Bettis and his enormous 5.16 ERA, but in his last 5 starts, Bettis has been sensational. He's went at least 6 innings in each of those starts ; 32 inning in total. He's allowed just 11 earned runs without allowing more than 3 runs in any start. Bettis has also lowered his ERA considerably and is 3-0 in those 5 starts.

Where Andrew Cashner is concerned, he's been quite similar to Bettis. Of course, there was a trade involved in which he was shipped to the Marlins, but in his last 4 starts which covers 23 2/3 innings, he's allowed a total of 6 runs on 15 hits. He had a nice showing in his only start as a Marlin and we have two hot pitchers coming into this game in a stadium in which the ball carries.

Of course, the only fear in this game is hitters such as Giancarlo Stanton. Nolan Arenado, Marcel Ozuna, and this man. Carlos Gonzalez has had an outstanding 2016, whether it's Coors Field-aided or not.

For the season, Cargo is hitting .320 with 23 HR and 75 RBI. He's also been hot as of late, hitting .381 with 2 HR and 9 RBI in his last 21 at-bats. His play at Coors Field can scare away perspective bettors who are looking to take the under as he's hitting .362 with 17 HR and 52 RBI's. That said, one player isn't going to change this game with the way that Bettis and Cashner have been pitching. Under is my MLB pick.
