After a 7-1 stretch that's seen us win with 4 significant underdogs and 3 of those underdogs being +170 or better, it's time to land the knockout blow and put more cash in respective bettors pockets with our MLB Picks of the Day for Friday.

Just like I like to use the phrase "getting hot at the right time" that's just what we've done as the regular season draws to a close. We've been riding the hot teams and fading the one's that have been slumping and it's brought back major returns. Let's continue to follow this method as it's been working out very well, first check the best sportsbooks list to have the MLB odds in our favor.

Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins

Catching Lightning In a Bottle
We've been tailing the Atlanta Braves (62-91) for most of their winning streak, including a win over the Mets and Noah Syndergaard which brought back odds of +280. The Braves have been playing with a "nothing to lose" attitude and of course it helps to have the 1-2 punch of Freddie Freeman and Matt Kemp on their squad.

Kemp went deep yesterday twice and either one of these players is capable of changing the complexion of a ballgame at any time. Tonight, Matt Wisler (7-12, 4.93 ERA) get's the start and although the Miami Marlins (76-77) are mathematically alive where a wild card spot is concerned, the Marlins are showing no desire to make the playoffs. Let's face it; right now; the Atlanta Braves are the better baseball team and are underdogs on a nightly basis. There's been major value since their winning streak and maybe the Braves are a better team than their record indicates.

Back To Superstar Status?
At one point in his career, Matt Kemp was one of the best players in the National League. He was a contender for the triple crown and never got hurt for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Finally, a hamstring injury somewhat derailed his career as he's bounced around to a couple of different teams. Now, he's found a home with the Atlanta Braves, hitting behind Freddie Freeman. Kemp is coming off of a 2 home run effort last night and now has 33 HR, 104 RBI, and a .272 BA for the season. He's also hitting .393 against Miami with 4 HR and 6 RBI's in 28 at-bats. We take it a step further and September has been a month to remember for Matt Kemp as he's hitting .361 with 7 HR and 18 RBI. I look for Matt Kemp to remain hot as the opposition (Miami) and opposing pitcher are somewhat weak. Look for the Atlanta Braves to pour it on as they're on a major roll.

San Francisco Giants at San Diego Padres

Everything To Play For
At 81-72, the San Francisco Giants might have lost a grip on the National League West Division lead as they're currently 6 games behind the Dodgers with 9 games left in the regular season, but the Giants are tied with the Mets for the top wild card spot and there's little room for error as the St. Louis Cardinals are just a 1/2 game behind and that means, one of these teams won't make the playoffs.

When you have a matchup against a San Diego Padres team (64-89) that can't hit its weight, you must drive them into the ground and that's just what the San Francisco Giants must do as they can't afford to lose an easy opportunity such as this.

The Giants offense has been really hurting this team as of late. In their last 6 games, they've managed just 10 runs. The offense must wake up. Even if they do indeed make the playoffs, their offense will get them nowhere if this kind of hitting continues.

After an injury plagued season, Hunter Pence had been carrying this Giants offense lately, but he has since started to slow down. That said, he loves Padres pitching as he's hitting .421 with 4 doubles, 2 HR and 10 RBI in 38 at bats against San Diego. Pence is also hitting .329 with 4 HR and 11 RBI in September. Someone must lead the way in this offense and Buster Posey is always capable of coming up big in a big spot, but Hunter Pence has been the "go to guy" and this is the perfect game for him to help his team reach their ultimate goal of making the playoffs.

Look for San Francisco to outpitch and get by the lowly Padres as this game is of major importance to their playoff hopes, and make them your MLB pick.
