Indians (24-26) vs. Royals (29-19) – June 2nd- 4th
Two AL Central teams going in opposite directions as the Cleveland Indians have found their mojo after a woeful start notching 10 wins over their last 13 games. Meanwhile last season’s World Series runner-ups have fallen from the top spot in the division courtesy of losing four of their last five.  Cleveland pitching has registered a 2.87 ERA in its last 13 games and the bullpen has been dominant, allowing one run over 13 1-3 innings in the past four games. However,

Kansas City's lineup has feasted on Cleveland pitching batting .296 in winning four of the first six meetings. Eric Hosmer in particular has been en fuego when facing the Indians hitting .400 with 12 RBIs over his last eight matchups with three dingers against the Tribe this season.

Cubs vs. Nationals – June 4th -7th
The Cubbies are in the thick of things in the NL Central while the Nats have a tenuous grip on the NL East’s top spot as of this June 2nd writing. Chicago will finish a three-game set with the Marlins before continuing their nine game road swing with the Nationals on Thursday night.

Chicago has not been hitting at the pace they would like ranking 21st in runs scored and 25th in batting average however their pitching has been better than decent as they rank 9th in ERA (3.61), 5th in WHIP (1.19) and 8th in opposition batting average (.240).

The Nationals have been an offensive force this season ranking 5th in runs scored (228), 8th in on base percentage (.324), 6th in slugging percentage (.412) and 12th in batting average with a collective .254 average. Ironically their pitching, thought to be one of the strongest staffs in the majors, has been decent but far from stellar with the 12th ranked ERA (3.76) but the 28th ranked opposition batting average (.265).

Betting Trends to Consider
Chicago Cubs are 7-10 (-0.9 units) over the last three seasons against the Nationals

*The total has gone over the MLB odds in 10 of 17 (+3.0 units) games over the past three seasons.

Know When to Fade a Starting Pitcher With Your MLB Picks and Why

Cardinals vs. Dodgers - June 4th – 7th
The Redbirds will wrap up a three game series with Milwaukee before making the trek to LA to take on the Dodgers who will be packing their bags to head home after their tangle with the Rockies at Coors Field. As of this writing the Cardinals have the best record in baseball with a 33-18 record which has propelled them to the lead in the NL Central opening up a five game lead over the second place Cubs. Meanwhile Big Blue has a razor thin edge over the Giants in the NL West but this upcoming series between the National League powers could be a prelude to a pennant showdown in October. Do keep that in mind when preparing your MLB picks.

Betting Trends to Consider
St. Louis is 15-12 (+4.3 units) against the Dodgers over the past three seasons.

*The total has gone under the MLB odds in 19 of 27 (+10.4 units) games over the past three seasons.

*St. Louis is 2-1 (+0.8 units) versus the Dodgers this season.

*All three games between these clubs have gone under (+3.0 units) the posted MLB odds total this season.

Angels vs. Yankees – June 5th -7th
Mike Trout and the LA Angels will head to the Northeast after they conclude their home series with the Rays. Meanwhile the New York Yankees will fly home form their three-game set with the Mariners as they welcome the Angels for the first time this season. New York has a thin grip on a thickly settled AL East division that separates top to bottom by only 4 ½ games as of this writing.

The Angels find themselves in second place trailing the upstart Houston Astros with the Texas Rangers following closely behind. The 23-year-old wunderkind Mike Trout leads the team in all the major offensive categories yet the team as a whole is ranked in the lower third of all those statistical categories. However, LA’s pitching has kept them competitive with their starters ranked 2nd in the league in quality starts while the entire pitching staff has held opposition batters to a .237 batting average good for 4th in the majors.

Betting Trends to Consider
Yankees are 13-9 (+4.4 units) against the Angels over the past three seasons.

*The total has gone over the MLB odds in 11 of 20 games over the past three seasons.
