Wondering where the best MLB picks value is for Monday's relatively short slate? Look no further.

Yankees (Sabathia) vs. Orioles (Tillman)

Covered by Willie Bee

The importance of each game increases with each passing day. Nothing changes tonight when Chris Tillman and the Orioles welcome C.C. Sabathia and the Yankees to Baltimore.

Sabathia is coming to the end of what will go down as his worst statistical season of his career. He's 13-11 with a 4.86 ERA overall, while going 4-6 with a 5.56 ERA on the road. In four starts against the Orioles this season Sabathia's gone 2-1 with a 4.67 ERA.

Though Chris Tillman has been reliable overall, he hasn't been at his best versus New York. Willie isn't touching a ML play for this game and is on the OVER 8.5 runs instead.

Pirates (Cole) vs. Rangers (Darvish)

Covered by Willie Bee

Here's an intriguing interleague series between two playoff hopefuls. Yu Darvish (12-7, 2.91 ERA) starts for Texas at home, with Gerrit Cole (6-7, 3.74 ERA) on the mound for Pittsburgh.

Cole's been better on the road (2.78 ERA, .216 BAA) than at home (4.27 ERA, .290 BAA), but hasn't yet made a trip to oppose this tough Texas team.

The Pirates are catching Darvish at a time where he's not been his typically dominant self. He only last five innings in Oakland the other day and the Rangers will need a better showing from him tonight. Willie thinks we'll see just that and is picking Texas on the run-line at MLB betting odds of +120.

Cubs (Wood) vs. Reds (Arroyo)

Covered by Ron Patrick

We almost always see close games whenever Travis Wood is pitching for the Cubs, but he'll have to really be focused tonight against a highly motivated Cincinnati ballclub.

The Reds are playing very good baseball right now and have Bronson Arroyo on the mound – he's been stellar at home, going 9-3 with a 3.16 ERA in 11 starts. Arroyo has also been successful in both of his outings against the Cubs this season, holding them to an overall batting average of .178.

Ron typically doesn't like laying a lot of chalk, but on this occasion he feels it's warranted. Cincinnati holds the edge over Chicago in practically every department.

Diamondbacks (Delgado) vs. Dodgers (Nolasco)

Covered by Joe Freda

The Dodgers may have lost four in a row, but this streak isn't going to last much longer, not with a home series against Arizona coming up.

Ricky Nolasco starts things up and he's been on fire, going 6-0 with a 2.11 ERA since the All-Star Break. He's been close to unhittable in two starts against the Diamondbacks in 2013, allowing a mere nine hits and two runs in 15 total innings.

What that means is Randall Delgado (4-5, 3.69 ERA) is going to have to keep the Diamondbacks in this game by shutting down the Dodgers' lineup. Joe's pick confirms that runs may be hard to come by, as he's taking the UNDER 7.5.

Tigers (Scherzer) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Joe Freda

Obviously a stellar pitching matchup here. Max Scherzer has been straight money on the road, recording a 8-1 record to go along with a 2.17 ERA and a .173 BAA. Not bad right?

But don't forget about Chris Sale, who owns a 2.55 ERA in 13 starts at home. The left-hander has gone 2-1 with a 2.66 ERA and 25 strikeouts (against only five walks) in three appearances against Detroit this season.

It's no surprise that tonight's total is so low (seven). We're likely to see a pitchers' duel tonight in the Windy City, which is why Joe is of the belief the UNDER is the right way to go with his sports picks.

A bunch of new series begin tonight as we get closer and closer to the playoffs. Where is the betting value hiding for our MLB picks?

Yankees (Sabathia) vs. Orioles (Tillman)

Covered by Willie Bee

Right now it's Texas and Tampa Bay that are in the two Wild Card spots. Baltimore and Cleveland are two games back and New York is 2.5 games behind in the race.

The Orioles be at home in this series and seemingly have the edge with Chris Tillman. They're at -135 to win over C.C. Sabathia and the Yankees.

Pirates (Cole) vs. Rangers (Darvish)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Pirates are blowing it right now, having lost four consecutive games to put them 1.5 games back of St. Louis and dead even with Cincinnati.

Unfortunately for them the road gets no easier ahead of this three-game set in Arlington, especially up against Yu Darvish in the opener. The Rangers were -180 chalk at time of writing.

Cubs (Wood) vs. Reds (Arroyo)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Thanks to a four-game winning streak, the Reds have pulled even with the Pirates and are within striking distance of taking over the Cardinals for first place in the NL Central

You have to like Cincinnati's chances of continuing their hot streak, with their next nine games coming against the Cubs, Brewers, and Astros. Bronson Arroyo and the Reds have opened as -180 favorites for tonight.

Diamondbacks (Delgado) vs. Dodgers (Nolasco)

Covered by Joe Freda

The Dodgers have lost four games in a row but still remain the cream of the crop in the NL West. Plus, Ricky Nolasco has been ridiculously good out on the mound lately.

As for the Diamondbacks, they're just 32-39 on the road this season and are a very mediocre 4-6 over their past 10 coming into tonight. You can find L.A. favored at anywhere from -150 to -160.

Tigers (Scherzer) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Joe Freda

Stop the presses: the White Sox have finally won a game! Now we get to see if they can make it two in a row with ace Chris Sale set to start.

The Tigers respond with an ace of their own in Max Scherzer. As expected, a low O/U of seven runs has been put on the board, while the MLB betting odds show Detroit at -135 and Chicago at +125.
