Are you on top of things when it comes to the updated MLB odds?

Yankees (Nova) vs. Rangers (Darvish)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Since re-joining the rotation in late May, Ivan Nova has been absolutely outstanding for the Yankees. He's given up three or less earned runs in five consecutive starts to lower his ERA to 3.63 for the season.

Nova faces a tough task against the Rangers tonight though, and Jeff just doesn't have the faith in New York to keep up with Texas overall. Yu Darvish  He's going to be backing the home team at significant -180 chalk.

Rays (Moore) vs. Red Sox (Workman)

Covered by Willie Bee

After a walk-off win last night over the Yankees, the Red Sox look to keep the positivity up with a good showing in the first game of this set with another division rival in Tampa Bay. The Red Sox are actually slotted in as underdogs for tonight.

That's because Matt Moore has been pitching very well lately and will be opposed by Brandon Workman, who doesn't have much MLB experience whatsoever. Still, this is a nice-looking price on Boston at home, so Willie's taking the Red Sox.

Athletics (Milone) vs. Astros (Keuchel)

Covered by Willie Bee

Nothing has changed. The Astros are still losing way more than they've been winning, and that should continue against the Athletics this week. Oakland is still tops in their division and will send out Tommy Milone tonight.

As you'd think, the Athletics are heavy favorites for game one of the series, so instead of a straight moneyline selection, Willie is recommending a little more risk by taking the run-line, which can be found at +120 at certain sportsbooks.

Tigers (Scherzer) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Joe Freda

Max Scherzer doesn't have a spotless win-loss record anymore, but he's still having a fantastic season. That being said, Chicago will have their own stud on the mound in Chris Sale, who's helped the White Sox to a 11-3 record over his last 14 starts at home.

What's the best play here? It's difficult to oppose Scherzer and an offense that features Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder, but that's exactly what Joe is doing. Sale has been extremely effective, making Chicago the more attractive play at plus money.

Indians (Jimenez) vs. Mariners (Harang)

Covered by Joe Freda

Last but not least, we've got Seattle playing host to Cleveland. Oddsmakers have this one pretty much as a toss-up, with two inconsistent pitchers in Aaron Harang and Ubaldo Jimenez trying to out-do one another.

The Mariners have been performing at a high level lately, but the Indians don't go down easy and they have the slight edge with Jimenez on the mound. Joe is going to add Cleveland at -110 to his sports picks for the day.

** Morning Odds Report **

It's time for a new week and a new set of series. Inside you'll find five of the games we're covering tonight, as well as the corresponding MLB odds.

Yankees (Nova) vs. Rangers (Darvish)

Covered by Ron Patrick

The Yankees are in fourth place in the AL East as they get ready to start a series in Arlington against the Rangers, who are 54-44 and three games back of first-place Oakland in the AL West.

Tonight it'll be Yu Darvish and Ivan Nova that get the nod as the starters. Texas opened at nearly -175 but that price has risen to as high as -200 at some betting sites.

Rays (Moore) vs. Red Sox (Workman)

Covered by Willie Bee

After a horrible June in which he had a 8.39 ERA in five starts, Matt Moore has come back to go 3-0 with a 1.31 ERA in three appearances so far this month.

He'll be tested thoroughly against this Boston offense though, with the Red Sox set to call on Brandon Workman.

Athletics (Milone) vs. Astros (Keuchel)

Covered by Willie Bee

Will it be a walk in the park for the Athletics against a Houston ballclub that's lost five straight games? We have Dallas Keuchel and Tommy Milone penciled in as tonight's starters.

Despite being on the road, Milone and his Oakland teammates find themselves as one of the largest favorites of the day. They're at -170 to win game one of the series.

Tigers (Scherzer) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Joe Freda

Quite the pitching encounter here, as Chris Sale and Max Scherzer have both been doing special things this season. Which one of these All-Star game participants will pitch better tonight?

Sale and the White Sox have the advantage of being at home, but the Tigers are the ones who have earned the favorite tag (-125) in the eyes of the sportsbooks.

Indians (Jimenez) vs. Mariners (Harang)

Covered by Joe Freda

Both Aaron Harang and Ubaldo Jimenez labored in their latest starts and will try to get back on track with better outings at Safeco Field tonight.

This is another close game in terms of the betting lines, with Seattle at -115 and Cleveland at +105. The total is listed at eight runs.
