After a rainy Sunday, many teams come into Monday readjusting their pitching rotations while other teams are dragging after extended rain delays. How will these factors affect the betting lines, and where can we find the best value for our MLB picks?

Rain Out or Day Off?
The Yankees are in a favorable matchup against Baltimore in which their game was rained out on Sunday and Baltimore offense was somewhat ineffective in a 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay.
Tonight, C.C. Sabathia takes the mound and maybe that one day of “playing cards in the clubhouse” and having their ace starting tonight will help them. New York’s game was called prior to the 1:05 pm ET start, therefore, they didn’t have to sit around, wondering if they would play.
C.C. has pitched well enough to win his last few starts, but picked up no-decisions. He’s owned Baltimore in the past, carrying a mind-blowing 17-4 record against the Birds with a 3.03 ERA in 26 career starts.
Huroki Kuroda has been the star of the pitching staff, but Sabathia is the man that can go 120 pitches and is essentially the go to guy.
New York is coming off of a 7-2 victory over Toronto on Saturday. In that game, Robinson Cano hit 2 home runs to lead the Yanks. Were they “Yankee Stadium” home runs? Maybe so, but Cano is one of the greatest offensive 2nd baseman of all time.
He carries a lifetime .338 batting average with 24 HR and 90 RBI against Baltimore. That said, he hasn’t been so lucky against Baltimore starter Freddy Garcia (0-2, 5.51). Garcia hasn’t pitched well this season, but he’s had Cano’s number to the tune of 2 for 15 lifetime. We’ll see if that holds true tonight.
Sabathia will be hard pressed to keep his exceptional record against Baltimore when facing the loaded lineup that the Birds have. This is a team with great depth from Nate McClouth at the leadoff spot to J.J. Hardy at the bottom of the lineup with 8 home runs. Baltimore’s main slugger is Chris Davis and but its Adam Jones who has had success against C.C.
For his career, Jones his hitting .318 in 44 career at-bats with 3 HR and 10 RBI. Jones is just as lethal as Davis but has had a bit of a deficiency where the long ball is concerned this season.
Even with the replacements, the Yankees are going to get their hits; this comes down to how effective that C.C. Sabathia will be against a loaded offense?
Pick- Yankees -137 at Bet 365 Sportsbook
This is a game of two underachieving teams with some legitimate sluggers in Matt Kemp and Ryan Braun on the their respective rosters. While Braun has showed some pop, maintained a .317 batting average, and has been able to knock in runs, Kemp has completely lost his power. This is a reason why there should be regular testing for performance enhancement drugs.
Kemp was a man that proclaimed that he would join the 50-50 club before hurting his hamstring last year and this year, he has one of the lowest home run totals on his team. Does this make sense?
Shortstop, Jean Segura, has the makings of a superstar for the Brew Crew. He’s off to a super-fast start with 7 HR, 20 RBI, 14 SB, and a .364 batting average. At the moment, it’s Segura that needs the protection and Milwaukee has him hitting 2nd with Ryan Braun providing the protection.
The duo of Segura and Braun are far superior than any offensive threat than that of the Dodgers, but tonight they face the best pitcher in baseball in Clayton Kershaw (4-2, 1.40). For the Dodgers, it’s essential that they give Kershaw a couple of runs to work with because he’s as close to perfect as it gets.
In his last start, Kershaw went 8 2/3 innings and allowed just 5 hits while striking out 11 batters. This game will be up to the Dodgers offense to be effective against Milwaukee starter, Yovani Gallardo (3-3, 4.50).
Anything in the 7 run range is worthwhile when Kershaw is pitching. The total is 7.5 run and the UNDER is the way to go with your sports picks here.
Good Luck, everyone!
