The Dodgers look to make it four in a row as they are set to take on the visiting San Francisco Giants in the second of a three-game set. Let's review the MLB odds and cash a winner tonight.

2016 MLB Record: (4-2, +1.95 units)

San Francisco Giants (6-5)
Giants' pitching has gotten shelled over the course of their last three games, surrendering a total of 28 runs including seven last night in their 7-3 loss to the Dodgers. San Francisco was hoping their ace, Madison Bumgarner, could steal a win in LA but Dodgers' third-baseman Enrique Hernandez torched the southpaw for two solo shots and an RBI double to contribute to Bumgarner's five inning stint.

Tonight the club will turn to their prized free agent acquisition Johnny Cueto, who is 2-0 in his first pair of starts for the Giants. Cueto knows all too well what kind of damage these Dodgers can do after allowing five first inning runs in his last start on Sunday afternoon. But Cueto did not allow the early inning damage to get to him as he hung tough, and hung on, to pick up the win in a wild 9-6 home victory. San Francisco's offense has been effective despite the poor pitching and are tied for 2nd in the big leagues with 65 runs scored on the young season.

Los Angeles Dodgers (7-4)
Big Blue leads the NL West in the early going, outscoring their opponents 15-6 over their last three contests, with their sensational southpaw Clayton Kershaw getting the job done yesterday in their 7-3 victory over their divisional rivals, the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers appear to be getting back on track after blowing out the San Diego Padres in their first series of the season by winning all three games and outscoring the Padres 25-0. But then they became unhinged when they visited the Giants and dropped three of four in that four-game set. Revenge is definitely on their minds as they head into the second of this three-game series.

Scott Kazmir takes the bump this evening with a 1-0 record and a 5.40 ERA. He was staked to a 5-0 lead against the Giants in his last start but somehow avoided taking the loss when he allowed six earned runs on seven hits in only four innings of work in the 9-6 defeat. Kazmir was 7-11 with a 3.10 ERA in 31 starts last year for the Athletics and Astros combined. The eleven year veteran is a quality, middle of the rotation guy and is 1-1 with a 4.32 ERA in three career start against San Francisco.

Betting Analysis
Unlike last night when we included the Dodgers in our MLB picks, tonight the pitching advantage clearly favors the Giants. Johnny Cueto is one of the best and were it not for a disastrous first inning to these same Dodgers Sunday afternoon, Cueto would be looking at a sparkling ERA. Headed into his third start of the season he has a 4.50 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP but if his history is any indication those number will soon be tumbling.

While it is technically accurate that the Giants have a losing record (9-11, +1.0 unit) over the past three seasons against the Dodgers we like this matchup tonight. They have the better pitcher on the mound and despite getting shellacked over their last three games their offense has continued to put up runs. As we review the MLB odds in this one we see that Bookmaker is the only one of the major offshores still giving back plus money (+101) on the visitors. Let's take the penny and back the better pitcher tonight.
