A busy Friday in the big leagues means that we have quite a few big names taking to the mound. Which pitchers are we looking at today, as we try to find any edge for our MLB picks?

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman has put up tremendous numbers against the Seattle Mariners in his career, which makes him a playable option at Oriole Park.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds surrounding seven pitchers that are scheduled to take the hill Friday.

Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati Reds

The right-hander had his personal two-game winning streak snapped last time out, as he suffered a 4-1 road defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing three runs and eight hits over 5.1 frames.

In 36 career games (34 starts) versus the St. Louis Cardinals, Arroyo has compiled an 8-15 record and 4.49 ERA, including an 0-2 mark and 3.79 ERA in three efforts this season.

Doug Fister, Detroit Tigers

The right-hander has won three games in a row, as he’s allowed four runs (three earned) and 17 hits in 20 innings of work over that span. However, given his recent history with the White Sox, should bettors think twice before backing him with their MLB picks?

In seven career games versus the Chicago White Sox, Fister has gone 1-3 with a 3.89 ERA, surrendering three home runs in 41.2 combined frames.

Jon Lester, Boston Red Sox

The left-hander will be trying to win back-to-back starts for the first time in 2013, as he comes off a 5-0 road victory over the Baltimore Orioles last time out, allowing four hits over seven shutout frames.

Lester has posted a 4-0 record and 2.95 ERA in eight home outings, issuing 15 walks and striking out 45 batters in 55 combined innings.

Tommy Milone, Oakland Athletics

The left-hander is 5-3 with a 2.97 ERA in nine home starts, surrendering 11 home runs in 57.2 combined frames.

In four career efforts versus the Texas Rangers, Milone has compiled a 0-3 record and 4.24 ERA, with each of those outings coming on the road.

CC Sabathia, New York Yankees

The left-hander has allowed 23 home runs this season, which happens to be the most that he has surrendered in any one season during his career.

In four lifetime appearances versus the San Diego Padres, Sabathia has gone 3-0 with a 2.12 ERA, including a 7-1 victory as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers in his only appearance at Petco Park on Aug. 13, 2008.

Chris Tillman, Baltimore Orioles

In 12 home starts, Tillman has gone 6-2 with a 3.93 ERA, including a 6-0 victory over the Red Sox last time out.

The right-hander has tallied a perfect 4-0 record and 0.98 ERA in four lifetime outings against the Seattle Mariners.

Jordan Zimmerman, Washington Nationals

The right-hander is coming off a forgettable July, as he ended up with a 1-3 record and 7.18 ERA, with opposing hitters batting .321 against him.

In three career games versus the Milwaukee Brewers, Zimmerman has produced a 3-0 record and 2.89 ERA, including a 10-5 home victory on July 1.
