As we prepare for the weekend series, we’re on a bit of role; I smell a run coming. Let’s take a look at Friday’s MLB Picks of the Day.

Joe C. Record
22-19 -1.98 Units
Lots of people faded C.C. Sabathia, but it was David Price who should’ve been faded as the Yankees beat up on him and gave us a huge underdog win. We split the other two games, but move on with a major profit for the day.

New York Yankees (10-6) at Tampa Bay Rays (7-9)
Falling Into Place
If something is working for me, I’m going to run with it as the Yankees have proven that this is their season. The new acquisitions of Jacoby, Brian McCann, and the still undefeated Tanaka, have given this team some much needed life.

With Brett Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury at the top of the Yankees lineup, no team can match their speed.

While everything is going the Yankees way, the Rays have gotten off to a slow start and their ace, David Price, got rocked yesterday as he allowed 6 runs and 10 hits in just 5 innings of work.

Look for the Yankees to carry this momentum over tonight as Hiroki Kuroda (2-1, 3.86) takes the mound in a pitching mismatch against Erik Bedard. Kuroda, who is known for never getting run support, is coming off of a win in which he was just average, but given 7 runs.

Look for New York to take advantage of a great spot and fantastic odds.

Pick- Yankees -105 at bet 365

Arizona Diamondback (4-14) at Los Angeles Dodgers (10-6)
A Regular Soap Opera
You take a look in the newspaper and although the Dodgers have dominated the question of “which Los Angeles team is the best”, manager, Don Mattingly, is more worried about the safety of his player than what’s going with Yasiel Puig’s bat.

Tonight, the talented Dodgers send out their ace in Zack Greinke (3-0, 2.76) and I’m very surprised that L.A. isn’t a -250 favorite or more. The Dodgers are a -178 favorite , according to Bet 365 Sportsbook, and believe it or not, that’s a gift.

Arizona is coming off of a series in which the Mets embarrassed them. If not for Jose Valverde giving up two gopher balls in the 9th inning on Wednesday, the Mets would’ve shut out the D’Backs and put the exclamation on the series. Nevertheless, the Diamondbacks come into this series limping.

While Paul Goldschmidt and Mark Trumbo form a very solid 1-2 punch for Arizona, it won’t be enough against the great Greinke.

Pick- Dodgers -178 at Bet 365

Additional Game

Atlanta Braves (10-5) at New York Mets (8-7)
All They Do Is Win
I’ve been saying this about the Atlanta Braves for the last few years. It doesn’t matter if superstars retire or who they put out on the field; All the Atlanta Braves do is win baseball games. The Braves will be facing a Mets team who have a major amount of confidence after destroying the Arizona Diamondbacks in a 3 game series, 21-5 and are coming back home to CitiField.

Although Aaron Harang (2-1, 0.96) has started off his Braves career red hot, look for the Mets, who have gotten off to quick starts with the 1-2 punch of Eric Young and Daniel Murphy, to take care of business at home as they come back from their West Coast trip.

Pick- Mets -101 at Bet 365
