It’s Friday and as the weekend series are about to begin, we notice that they’re a lot of teams of equal strength squaring off against each other for our MLB Picks.

This could mean reasonable prices as we dissect Friday MLB odds for our MLB Picks of the Day.

Philadelphia Phillies (31-30) at Milwaukee Brewers (22-37)

Cliff Lee starts for the Fightin Phils who have won 5 in a row and this could spell trouble for the Brew Crew. The Brewers start Alfredo Figaro (0-0, 3.67), but he’s pitched mainly out of the bullpen and this a total pitching mismatch. These are two teams going in completely opposite directions.

Trouble is “Brewing”

Milwaukee’s “Big 3” in Jean Segura, Carlos Gomez, and Ryan Braun are the only thing keeping this team afloat, but with the pending suspension of Ryan Braun, the Big 3 might turn into the Big 2 and this will deflate this baseball team. As you see, the Brewers pitching staff is paper thin and their offense is essential for winning games.

The Phillies are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Brewers in the 1st game of their 4 games series. Michael Young and John Mayberry Jr. were key figures as they both collected 3 hits apiece in a relatively easy win. This is a great spot for the Phillies to continue their winning streak.

Cliff Lee has been dominant and the Phillies offense contains lethal weapons like the home run leader in Dominic Brown. Aside from Brown, the Phils offense has been solid.

In Cliff Lee’s last 5 starts, he’s 4-0 with 1 no decision. In these games, Lee has pitched 46 2/3 innings and has allowed only 8 runs while limiting base runners. Pitching is the difference in this game.

Pick- Phillies -1.5 +105 for your sports picks.

Los Angeles Angels (26-34) at Boston Red Sox (37-24)

The Angels have all of the talent in the world yet can’t seem to put any form of consistency together.

They’re coming off of an 8-6 loss at home to a weak Chicago Cubs team and have to travel cross-country to face the American East Division leading Boston Red Sox.

Get the low-down on the betting lines for Friday!

An Early 4th of July?

Let the fireworks begin because we can see a lot of offense in this game with all of the firepower that these two teams contain. Tommy Hanson and Felix Doubront are two respectable pitchers, but they can definitely be hit off of quite easily with the lineups that start tonight.

Mark Trumbo is coming off of a 2 home run game last night while Howie Kendrick is 7 for his last 8 with 1 HR and 3 RBI. Imagine how dominant that this team be if Pujols, Trout, and Hamilton all started hitting at the same time. It hasn’t happened enough, but the Angels are always a threat to put up double-digits on the scoreboard.

Big Papi, Big Moment

Boston is coming off of a 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers in which David Ortiz hit a 3 run homer into the right field stands to win the game.

The Red Sox have a ton of firepower in their lineup also. Aside from Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia has been dominant while Mike Napoli has been an RBI machine. I failed to mention that Jacoby Ellsbury and Jonny Gomes had 4 hits apiece in last night’s game; this lineup is stacked!

The betting total for this game is 10 runs. This is quite high, but the pitching is merely average and look at the names in these lineups. Take the OVER.
