Thursday night’s MLB betting has the Atlanta Braves and Toronto Blue Jays wrapping up their four game series, with Braves lefty Mike Minor (6-2) slated to face Blue Jays right-hander R.A. Dickey (4-6).

Toronto has gone 2-1 in the set’s first three duels, with the OVER also cashing at a 2-1 clip.

Blue Jays, Cabrera hold off Braves

Toronto notched a 3-0 victory in Wednesday’s latest battle between the foes, cashing as a 170 road dog. Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera drove in two runs from the leadoff spot, finishing 3-for-3 at the plate.

Toronto’s Edwin Encarnacion and Emilio Bonifacio united to hit 5-for-8, while catcher J.P. Arencibia left six men on base in an 0-for-5 night. Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen logged his 11th save, tossing a hitless final frame.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman drilled his first triple as part of a 2-for-4 outing, while logging one of his side’s two errors. The contest dipped UNDER the ‘total’ of 8 ½, with Atlanta edged out in hits, 8-4.

Minor stingy in New York

Minor logged a third win in four starts with Saturday’s 6-0 triumph for Atlanta as a 158 road favorite against the New York Mets. The 25-year-old allowed three hits over 7 1/3 IP, while drilling a two-run homer to help his own cause.

Braves mates Andrelton Simmons and Justin Upton each poked one double, finishing a combined 4-for-10. Atlanta’s David Carpenter relieved Minor for the final 1 2/3 frames, tossing two strikeouts en route to holding on for his side’s shutout.

Dickey lit up in loss

Dickey picked up his first loss in four outings on the same day of action, with Toronto’s 6-5 defeat as 148 home ‘chalk’ to the Baltimore Orioles. The 11-year veteran gave up all six of Baltimore’s runs in 6 2/3 innings, surrendering two homers as part of nine hits.

Toronto’s Jose Bautista and Adam Lind both logged 3-for-5 nights, with Bautista cracking his ninth double. Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus went 0-for-4, uniting with Edwin Encarnacion to leave nine men on base.

Back the OVER on Thursday

Bet 365 opened Minor as a 155 home favorite, with the MLB odds holding steady in early betting. The ‘total’ was first set to 7 ½, with a minus 125 premium for the UNDER.

I am backing the OVER in this finale, looking for both lineups to have some spark. The OVER is 9-3 in Atlanta’s last 12 interleague affairs against a righty starter, while going 5-2-1 in the Blue Jays’ last eight road games against National League clubs.

Dickey comes in with a sizable 1.30 WHIP and .324 OBP on the road, while riding a 5-0 OVER streak from all starts this month. The Nashville native faces some familiar bats in the Braves lineup, including Freddie Freeman’s 9-for-18 career mark against the righty.

Minor has held a tight fort lately, but gave up six runs in his sole affair against an American League club - with Atlanta losing last month to the Detroit Tigers, 8-3. Toronto’s Melky Cabrera and Emilio Bonifacio have one homer each against Minor in a combined 19 at-bat’s.

Look for some octane to rise up again here, with OVER backers getting the money for their baseball picks.
