Series Finale on Sunday at Wrigley Field
The Cubs and Diamondbacks will conclude their three game series on Sunday. The first pitch at Wrigley Field in Chicago is slated for 2:20 PM ET. The Cubs were a 14-5 winner on Friday, and then shutout Arizona 2-0 in yesterday’s game. The starting pitchers for this game today will be Rubby De La Rosa for Arizona and Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs.

Reeling D-Backs
The Diamondbacks enter today having dropped three in a row, and are also just 3-10 during their previous thirteen games. Their pitching staff has performed terribly over the past week. Arizona is allowing 6.3 runs per game, and opponents have amassed a large .915 OPS against Diamondbacks pitching during their previous seven contests. Arizona has gone a poor 22-39 versus opponents with a winning record this season, and that includes 4-18 since the second half of the year (Game 82) has began. Rubby De La Rosa has struggled during day games this year, posting a lofty 4.79 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in six starts.

Cubs back on Track
The Cubs entered this weekend series having lost six of their previous eight games. However, by winning the last two days, they’ve now gone a terrific 25-10 during their last thirty-five games. They’ve also went 8-2 in the last ten, and 16-4 during their previous twenty games at Wrigley Field. Kyle Hendricks has been solid at home in 2015, compiling a 3.69 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in twelve starts.

MLB Betting Angle
Any National League money line home favorite (Cubs) of -150 or more, and is playing in the month of September, resulted in that home favorite going 40-4 (90.9%) since 2011. The home team also had a sizable +2.8 run per game differential in those forty-four contests. I like the Cubs to win this game in a decisive manner for one of my MLB picks on Sunday.
