Mark Buehrle and Hiroki Kuroda will face off for a second consecutive start Thursday night, as the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees open up a four-game series.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB odds for this American League East matchup at Yankee Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.

Toronto will attempt to win back-to-back games for just the second time during the 2013 MLB campaign, as it comes off a 6-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles as -128 road favorites Wednesday afternoon, while going OVER the total of 8.5.

The Blue Jays are 0-4 in their last four games following a win, while the UNDER is on a 4-1 run in that particular situation.

New York split its six-game road trip, as it suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays as +124 underdogs Wednesday night, while going UNDER the betting total of 7.

The Yankees are 4-0 in their last four games as home favorites of -110 to -150, while falling short of the total in each of those contests.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Mark Buehrle (1-0, 5.87 ERA) didn’t factor into the decision of a 5-3 home loss to the Yankees last time out, as he allowed three runs (two earned) and seven hits over seven frames, while issuing just a single walk and striking out seven.

The left-hander is 1-8 with a 6.03 ERA in 13 career starts versus the Bronx Bombers—his worst ERA against any MLB team.

Yankees starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda (2-1, 2.35 ERA) has led the club to three consecutive victories, but he also failed to earn a decision against Buehrle five days ago, as he allowed one run and three hits in 7.1 frames.

The right-hander is 2-1 with a 3.65 ERA in four lifetime appearances versus the Blue Jays, while New York has captured a victory in six of his last seven outings against division rivals overall.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Yankees as one of their MLB picks Thursday night, as they’ve won all three of their games as home favorites of -125 to -175 this season, while the UNDER is 3-0 in that situation.

It’s also important to note that New York has won 17 of its last 22 home games against Toronto.

MLB Pick:  New York Yankees -142 at Pinnacle
