The New York Yankees have cashed at 6-2 through their last eight matchups, piling in 7 RPG over the surging stretch. Tuesday’s MLB action has Joe Girardi’s club playing a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium against the Toronto Blue Jays, who have seen the UNDER collect at 5-1 in their last six contests.

Check out our Tuesday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Game 1 – Rogers (3-7, 4.91 ERA) vs Nova (6-4, 2.99 ERA)

New York’s Ivan Nova squares off with Toronto’s Esmil Rogers in the double dip’s opener, matching a pair of right-handed hurlers.

Nova lasted 7 1/3 innings in Wednesday’s 11-3 win for the Yankees over the Los Angeles Angels. The Dominican Republic native cashed as 128 home ‘chalk,’ giving up three runs on 10 hits.

Share your thought on the opening matchup.

Rogers picked up a no-decision on the same night, with Toronto pulling out a 4-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The 28-year-old allowed one run over six frames, collecting for bettors even though MLB odds had listed them as a 130 home dog.

Nova faced Toronto twice in April, allowing six earned runs over a combined seven innings of action. Rogers has made four relief appearances against New York, giving up five hits over the span’s four frames.

I am backing the UNDER to my MLB picks for this matchup, looking for the day’s action to start out with a tight affair.

Nova has seen the UNDER cash at 4-2 in his last six home starts, holding foes to 11 earned runs over 45 IP. Rogers has surrendered just one homer through his most recent four road outings, while the UNDER is 5-1 in Toronto’s last six matchups against righty starters.

MLB Pick: UNDER at William Hill

Game 2 – Buehrle (9-7, 4.29 ERA) vs Hughes (4-12, 4.97 ERA)

Blue Jays southpaw Mark Buehrle faces Yankees righty Phil Hughes in the nightcap, with both having opposite results as of late.

Buehrle notched his fourth win in five starts with Thursday’s 2-1 win for Toronto as a 108 home dog over Boston. The 14-year veteran lasted for seven innings, allowing 10 hits and two walks.

Hughes logged a third straight loss as part of the same night’s card, with New York dropping an 8-4 slugfest to the Angels. The California native gave up three runs over six innings, while the Yankees edged Los Angeles in hits, 15-11.

Buehrle has two losses and a no-decision in three starts against New York, surrendering 12 earned runs over 18 1/3 IP. Hughes faced Toronto once this year in April, lasting six frames in a 3-2 victory for the Yankees as a 106 home dog.

I am adding the OVER in this duel to Tuesday’s sports picks, looking for high octane on both sides.

New York’s lineup has had its share of success facing Buehrle, while the OVER is 4-0 in the Yankees last four spots against left-handed starters. Yankees slugger Robinson Cano has three homers in an 8-for-23 career mark facing Buehrle, while Vernon Wells is 24-for-53 lifetime with 10 RBIs.

Phil Hughes has struggled against some of Toronto’s lineup, with Maicer Izturis and Jose Reyes uniting for three homers in a combined 15 at-bat’s. Reyes is set to return after missing two straight games with a knee injury, while the OVER is 10-4 in Toronto’s last 14 matchups against a starter with a 1.30 WHIP or greater.

MLB Pick: OVER at Bet365
