Once again it's time to brush over the available MLB betting lines and see what our resident baseball handicappers have to say. There are quite a few early games on the schedule, so let's get started early with our preparation.

Detroit Tigers (Verlander) vs. Baltimore Orioles (Gausman)
Covered by Willie Bee
The Tigers are starting to pull away in the AL Central, having now built up a 5.5-game lead on the nearest competitor. With Justin Verlander on the mound, Wilie likes Detroit's chances of continuing their winning ways and will go for value with a run-line play.

Pick: Tigers -1.5 (+130)

New York Mets (Montero) vs. New York Yankees (Tanaka)
Covered by Willie Bee & Jeff Grant
Thanks to a four-game losing streak, the Yankees have dropped to an even .500 on the season. They've lost each of the first two matchups of this Subway Series, but Jeff thinks they'll get back on track behind Masahiro Tanaka (5-0, 2.57 ERA). Willie is on different wavelength and will be picking the OVER to come through.

Pick: Willie: OVER 6.5 // Jeff: Yankees -170

Miami Marlins (DeSclafani) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Maholm)
Covered by Ron Patrick
It's been a streaky season for the Marlins and it's been no different lately. They've lost five straight games and also just got some terrible injury news about ace Jose Fernandez. Anthony DeSclafani will have to step in tonight and Ron looks for the Dodgers to take advantage. He's on the OVER tonight.

Pick: OVER 8

Atlanta Braves (Teheran) vs. San Francisco Giants (Bumgarner)
Covered by Ron Patrick
This is one of the best pitching matchups on the board for Wednesday. Madison Bumgarner (4-3, 2.83 ERA) and Julio Teheran (2-2, 1.71 ERA) have been outstanding for their respective teams so far this season. We don't blame Ron whatsoever for recommending the UNDER in spite of the low O/U.

Pick: UNDER 6.5

Los Angeles Angels (Richards) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Burnett)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Angels are starting to put some pressure on the Athletics in the AL West and their good road record (12-8) has had a lot to do with it. Can they keep it going against AJ Burnett and the Phillies this afternoon? Jeff says yes and will be adding Los Angeles as small favorites on the MLB betting odds board.

Pick: Angels -111

Texas Rangers (Tepesch) vs. Houston Astros (Feldman)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Houston added to the Rangers' woes with a rout yesterday. Now we'll see if Nick Tepesch can fare better in what will be his first major league action of the season. Scott Feldman (2-1, 1.93 ERA) gets the ball for the Astros and Jeff believes we'll see a low-scoring final score.

Pick: UNDER 8.5

Chicago Cubs (Hammel) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Wacha)
Covered by Joe Catalano
The Cardinals did just enough to get the win last night and now they send out young Michael Wacha, who's 2-3 with a 2.85 ERA on the year. Joe will be buying a half run for tonight and will take the UNDER at seven runs instead of six-and-a-half. Will Wacha and Jason Hammel step up?

Pick: UNDER 7 (buying half a run)

Boston Red Sox (Doubront) vs. Minnesota Twins (Correia)
Covered by Joe Catalano
Both the Twins and Red Sox are struggling around the .500 mark, so a win today could go a long way for both sides. It's not the prettiest of pitching duels, with Kevin Correia (1-4, 6.34 ERA) and Felix Doubront (1-3, 5.09 ERA) both struggling mightily on the mound this year. Check back shortly to see which way Joe goes with his baseball betting picks.

Pick: Over 8.5
