The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the hottest teams in baseball, but they cool off in facing one of the best pitchers in the game Wednesday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this interleague matchup at Dodger Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled for 10:10 p.m. ET.

Check out our Wednesday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Need to score some runs

New York finds itself 8.5 games back of the Boston Red Sox in the American League East standings, as it suffered a 3-2 setback to Los Angeles as +152 road underdogs Tuesday, while going UNDER the betting total of 7.

The Yankees rank 23rd in baseball in runs scored, while they’ve gone 4-4 as road underdogs of +150 to +175 this season.

Red hot

Los Angeles is 27-6 in its last 33 games, which includes a stellar 10-1 mark since the All-Star break.

The club enters this contest with a comfortable 3.5-game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West standings.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the Dodgers are 17-8 as home favorites of -175 to -200, with the UNDER going 15-8-2 in that situation.

Yankees starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda (10-6, 2.51 ERA) has compiled a stellar 3-0 record and 0.69 ERA in four starts this month, as he comes off a 2-0 road victory over the Texas Rangers last time out.

The right-hander is 4-4 with a 3.18 ERA in 11 road outings, issuing 14 walks and striking out 47 batters in 70.2 combined innings.

Kuroda has posted a 3-2 record and 2.21 ERA in six interleague starts as a member of the Bronx Bombers.

Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (10-6, 1.96 ERA) has won five of his last six appearances, including a 2-1 home victory over the Cincinnati Reds last time out, as he allowed a single run and six hits over eight frames.

The left-hander is 6-4 with a 1.74 ERA in 12 home outings, with opposing hitters batting .199 against him.

In 15 career interleague starts, Kershaw has gone 5-3 with a 3.02 ERA, including a no-decision effort in a 8-6 road loss to the Yankees on June 27, 2010.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Yankees with their MLB picks, as they’ve gone 9-4 in Kuroda’s last 13 starts as an underdog.

MLB Pick:  New York Yankees +165
