At home, Colorado has been one of the best hitting teams in baseball this season and today they get a chance to prove it against one of the better younger pitchers Baseball. Check our Free MLB Pick.

MLB odds have come out making Colorado a +129 underdog like at Pinnacle Sports. For my MLB Pick, I will back the Rockies in this spot as I like them to go ahead and win this game with a decent pitcher of their own on the mound. Expect a lot of runs tonight from both sides but for Colorado to find a way to win.

Toronto Blue Jays
Aaron Sanchez takes the mound for Toronto and comes in with a 3.33 ERA and 1.26 whip with the Blue Jays hitting .245 as a team which ranks 22nd in the major leagues. Sanchez has been outstanding this season but he has never pitched at Colorado, a very hitter-friendly park, and he is not immune to getting knocked around a bit by some of the better hitting teams. Two times in his last 10 starts he gave up six earned runs in just six innings pitched and tonight I expect him to give up his share runs at Coors field.

At the plate, Toronto has been a shadow of what they were last year and although they rank in the top third in the league in some categories for the most part in the bottom part of that third. Currently, the Blue Jays rank 10th in runs scored per game and OPS as well as ranking third in home runs per game. However, most of their other stats  are around the middle of the league or lower ranking 22nd in batting average, as mentioned, 23rd in hits per game, and 17th in strikeouts. Playing in Colorado though should help them put a few more across the plate than their normal average but I expect even more production from the Rockies.

Colorado Rockies
Tyler Anderson takes the mound for Colorado and comes in with a 2.55 ERA and 1.19 whip with just three appearances in his short career. So far he has been up to the task pitching in Colorado allowing three total earned runs over 12 innings versus the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks. In his other outing, he was effective on the road allowing just two earned runs versus Miami.

Of course, there is going to come a time where he gets knocked around himself being a pitcher for the Rockies, but he has started off well this season and should come in with some confidence against the Toronto team that has seen its own struggles season.  Added to that fact he has one of the best offenses in baseball behind him. Speaking of which, Colorado ranks third in major league baseball hitting .275 and also rank in the top five in most offensive categories.

Currently, the Rockies rank second in OPS, runs per game, and hits per game. Sanchez is a good pitcher for Toronto but as mentioned this will be his first experience at Coors field and I expect for him to struggle.
