After reviewing Wednesday's MLB betting odds, we have honed in on a pair of 'over/under' total bets with which we aim to sweep the board in our MLB picks this evening.

Royals (10-8-2 O/U) vs. Indians (7-11-1 O/U)
These teams wrap up a three-game set tonight with the over in MLB odds cashing in both the opener and last night where the 7 ½ run total was blown away as the clubs combined for 16 runs. Tonight will feature Yordano Ventura (4.09 ERA) taking the hill for the visitors while Danny Salazar (2.08 ERA) starts for the Tribe.

The Royals' Ventura is coming off a solid outing against the White Sox where he pitched seven strong innings allowing only a pair of runs on five hits en route to a 3-2 victory. When facing the Indians Ventura has had nothing but success. He has a 3-0 record against them with a 1.57 ERA and a 1.049 WHIP. His last outing in Cleveland came back in September of last year when he cruised through seven frames on no run, four hit ball.

Danny Salazar gets the nod today and he is coming off a silky smooth performance of his own when he went seven full innings allowing one run on six hits in what turned out to be a 13-1 laugher in Detroit last Friday. However, Salazar has not fared well in his career when facing the Royals registering a 5.33 ERA and a 1.481 WHIP.

While it's true both clubs are hitting I believe this is an opportunity to go low. Here are a few things you should know about these teams when considering your MLB picks.

*During the Royals' last 16 Wednesday games the 'under' has cashed in 12 instances.

*During the Indians' last 10 Wednesday games the 'under' has cashed in nine of those games.

*In games where Cleveland is facing a right-handed starter the 'under' is 7-2 this season.

There is no doubt these clubs are swinging and connecting right now but while KC has been hitting all season Cleveland is ranked 25th in runs scored. I look for the hitting to cool off and the pitching to heat up.

MLB Picks: Under 7 (-105) at Wagerweb.com

Mariners (10-10 O/U) vs. Rangers (9-10-1 O/U)
It was a pitcher's duel last night as the visiting Mariners notched a 2-1 win over their hosts the Texas Rangers. Tonight Seattle will hand the ball to arguably the best pitcher in the game in Felix Hernandez (1.61 ERA) while the Rangers tap veteran Wandy Rodriguez (1.80 ERA) for tonight's starting assignment.

Neither team is what you would deem an offensive powerhouse with both clubs residing in the lower third of the league for runs scored. In addition, Felix Hernandez can make a power hitting club cry while his counterpart tonight, Wandy Rodriguez, looked sharp in his only start this year which saw him pitch five full and allow only one run against the Angels last week.

The under in MLB odds is 8-3-1 over the last 12 meetings between the teams and I see another low scoring affair tonight. King Felix should overwhelm this Texas lineup while Wandy Rodriguez will be looking at a Mariners club that won't remind anyone of the Yankees Murderer's Row from years gone by.

The under has cashed in five of Seattle's last six games and we expect more of the same tonight when Hernandez mows down a flailing Texas lineup. Our only concern is if Rodriguez can maintain his performance from his previous start. We're not worried enough for us to deter a bet on this game going low tonight.
