Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Kyle Lohse has been one of the hottest pitchers in baseball, as he prepares to take on the Cincinnati Reds Thursday.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this National League Central matchup at Miller Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 8:10 p.m. ET.

Check out our Thursday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Riding high

Cincinnati finished off a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs Wednesday, as it picked up a 5-0 victory as -140 favorites, while going UNDER the betting total for the fourth time in five contests.

The Reds are 8-6 as road favorites of -125 to -150 this season, with the UNDER going 9-5 in that situation.

Returning home

Milwaukee went 5-4 on its recently completed nine-game road trip, which ended with a 5-4 defeat to the Texas Rangers as +210 underdogs, while going OVER the betting total of 8.5.

The Brewers are a disappointing 17-27 versus division opponents this season, while they’ve dropped 24 of 35 games when facing left-handed starters.

Reds starting pitcher Tony Cingrani (5-2, 2.87 ERA) has watched the club alternate wins and losses over his last four outings, as he comes off a 3-1 home defeat to the San Diego Padres.

The left-hander is 3-1 with a 3.02 ERA in 10 road games (eight starts), with opposing hitters batting .177 against him.

In two career games versus the Brewers, Cingrani has gone 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA, including a 2-0 road loss on July 9.

Brewers starting pitcher Kyle Lohse (8-7, 3.26 ERA) has led the team to five consecutive victories, including a 10-5 road win over the Seattle Mariners last time out, as he surrendered three runs and six hits over seven frames.

The right-hander is 5-2 with a 3.21 ERA in 11 home appearances, issuing seven walks and striking out 45 batters in 70 combined innings.

Lohse has gone 3-0 with a 1.95 ERA in his last eight efforts versus the Reds.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total with their MLB picks in this matchup, as the UNDER is 19-6-3 in the last 28 overall meetings in this series.
