New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia has great career numbers against the Baltimore Orioles, but he’s recently struggled at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Find out why we believe that the 'Over' holds the best value for our MLB picks tonight.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this American League East matchup, with the opening pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Washed out

New York was aiming to finish off its six-game homestand with a sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays, but its series finale was washed away by rain, as the club finished with a 3-2 mark.

The Yankees are 12-6 against divisional foes this season, with the UNDER going 9-7-2 in that situation.

Trying times

Baltimore has suffered back-to-back sweeps against the Tampa Bay Rays and San Diego Padres, which is definitely surprising, considering the club hadn’t suffered such an event since the regular season started.

The Orioles have compiled a 23-20 record this season, and are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for third place in the division.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the franchise is 34-37 in the month of May, with the OVER going 37-32-2 during that span.

Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia (4-3, 3.19 ERA) has led the club to back-to-back victories despite not earning a decision, including a 4-3 home win over the Seattle Mariners last time out, as he allowed three runs (two earned) and a season-high 10 hits over 6.1 frames.

The left-hander is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in three road outings, with opposing hitters batting .194 against him.

In 26 career games versus the Orioles, Sabathia has tallied a stellar 17-4 record and 3.03 ERA, but he went 0-2 with a 6.38 ERA in three appearances at this ballpark a season ago.

Orioles starting pitcher Freddy Garcia (0-2, 5.51 ERA) has suffered back-to-back losses, including a 8-4 home defeat to the San Diego Padres last time out, as he surrendered four runs and seven hits over just 3.2 innings of work.

The right-hander is 0-2 with a 7.45 ERA in two home starts, with opposing hitters batting .300 against him.

In 12 career appearances versus the Bronx Bombers, Garcia has tallied a 5-4 record and 4.09 ERA, but he hasn’t faced them since Aug. 27, 2010.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total as one of their MLB picks Monday, as the OVER is 6-1 in Sabathia’s last seven road starts in this series, while the Orioles’ bullpen has compiled a 7.71 ERA in the last five games.
