Washington Nationals right-hander Jordan Zimmerman has struggled since the All-Star break, as he prepares to take on the San Francisco Giants Wednesday.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this National League matchup at Nationals Park, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.

Check out our Wednesday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Struggling to score

San Francisco suffered a 4-2 loss to Washington as +118 road underdogs Tuesday night, while slipping UNDER the betting total of 6.5.

The Giants are averaging a MLB-low 2.58 runs per game since the All-Star break, with the offense hitting .176 with runners in scoring position over their 12 contests.

Trying to put something together

Washington has won four games in a row, as it has managed to plate 27 runs over that span, but it still ranks 27th in the league in runs scored for the entire 2013 MLB campaign.

The Nationals are 12-10 as home favorites of -125 to -150 this season, with the OVER going 13-9 in those 22 opportunities.

Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum (6-11, 4.18 ERA) picked up a 4-1 home victory over the Milwaukee Brewers last time out, as he allowed one hit over eight shutout innings.

The right-hander is 2-6 with a 4.06 ERA in 11 road appearances, issuing 28 walks and striking out 64 batters in 64.1 combined frames.

In eight career appearances versus the Nationals, Lincecum has tallied a 1-4 record and 5.68 ERA, including a 0-4 mark and 9.00 ERA in his last five efforts.

Nationals starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman (13-6, 3.10 ERA) has watched the club drop four of his last five outings, but he didn’t earn a decision in a 6-3 setback at home to the Atlanta Braves last time out.

The right-hander is 9-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 14 home starts, with opposing hitters batting .231 against him.

In six lifetime appearances versus the Giants, Zimmerman has posted a 3-2 record and 3.19 ERA.

I’m going to recommend that readers look at the total with their MLB picks, as the OVER is 13-3 in Lincecum’s last 16 starts as a road underdog of +110 to +150.
