The Los Angeles Dodgers are the hottest team in baseball, as they prepare to open up a three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays Monday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this interleague matchup at the Rogers Centre, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET.

Check out our Monday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Los Angeles is just a half-game back of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West standings, as it swept the Washington Nationals over the weekend, including a 9-2 victory as -113 road favorites Sunday.

The Dodgers are 12-4 this month, with the UNDER going 11-5 in those 16 opportunities.

Not a great start

Toronto suffered a three-game sweep to the Tampa Bay Rays in its first series after the MLB All-Star break, including a 4-3 defeat as -125 home favorites Sunday, while going UNDER the betting total in two consecutive contests.

The Blue Jays are 8-7 at home with a money line of -100 to -125 during the 2013 campaign, with the OVER cashing in eight of those opportunities.

Dodgers starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu (7-3, 3.09 ERA) has led the club to four consecutive victories, including a 7-5 triumph on the road to the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 10, as he allowed five runs and seven hits over five frames.

The left-hander is 3-2 with a 4.42 ERA in nine road appearances, issuing 22 walks and striking out 44 batters in 55 combined frames.

In three career games versus AL foes, Ryu has tallied an even 1-1 record and 3.43 ERA.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Josh Johnson (1-5, 5.16 ERA) will look to snap a personal three-game losing streak, which includes a 7-4 setback on the road to the Baltimore Orioles on July 14, as he surrendered seven runs and seven hits over six innings.

The right-hander is 1-1 with a 3.67 ERA in seven home outings, surrendering seven home runs in 41.s combined innings.

In seven lifetime starts versus the Dodgers, Johnson is 3-2 with a 5.84 ERA, but has allowed 49 hits in 37 innings of work.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Dodgers as one of their MLB picks Monday, as the Blue Jays are 3-8 in their last 11 games as favorites of -110 to -150.
