The Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros have both gone 1-4 in their last five games, outscored by their opposition, 51-31. How are we looking to take on this game with our sports picks tonight?

Tuesday’s MLB betting has the struggling clubs opening a three-game set at Camden Yards, with Baltimore’s Wei-Yin Chen (5-3, 2.78 ERA) meeting Houston’s Bud Norris (6-9, 3.93 ERA).

Take a look at our Tuesday Morning MLB Odds & Betting Lines Report.

Orioles, Astros fall in finales

Baltimore ended last week dropping two straight matchups with the Boston Red Sox, including a 5-0 defeat as a 104 home dog in Sunday’s finale. Orioles mates Chris Davis and Manny Machado were both held to 0-for-4 days, with Davis striking out three times.

Houston began its road trip with a 1-3 mark in four contests against the Toronto Blue Jays, finishing the stretch with Sunday’s 2-1 defeat as a 174 underdog. Astros first baseman drilled a homer for his side’s sole run, while catcher Carlos Corporan recorded two errors.

Chen edged out in K.C.

Chen picked up a no-decision in Wednesday’s 4-3 defeat for Baltimore against the Kansas City Royals, failing to cash as a 106 road favorite. The Taiwan native allowed three runs on seven hits, surrendering two long balls over 7 1/3 innings.

Baltimore’s Matt Wieters got his squad on the board with a two-run homer, while mate Adam Jones added an insurance run in the eighth frame. Orioles reliever Darren O’Day logged his staff’s loss, allowing a walkoff double from Kansas City’s Alcides Escobar.

Norris falls at home

Norris also logged a no-decision on the same night of action, with Houston’s 4-3 setback to the Oakland Athletics. The 28-year-old gave up three runs over 6 1/3 frames, falling short of collecting as a 161 home dog.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve drilled his fourth homer of the year, finishing with a 2-for-4 night. Houston’s Jonathan Villar and Chris Carter united to hit 0-for-7 from their lineup’s leadoff and cleanup spots, respectively.

Back the UNDER in Baltimore

The MLB odds at Bet365 opened Chen as a heavy 250 home favorite, while first setting the ‘total’ at a flat 8 ½. The weather forecast in Baltimore calls for 80 degrees, with calm winds and clear skies.

I am backing the UNDER with my MLB picks in this affair, feeling the ‘total’ has been set too high by MLB odds makers.

Chen has seen the UNDER cash at 3-0 in his trio of starts at Camden Yards, allowing one run over seven innings in this month’s most recent home outing against the Texas Rangers. The second-year hurler faces an Astros lineup that has been held to a .234 BA against lefties on the road, while the UNDER is 6-2-1 in Houston’s last nine matchups against southpaw starters.

Norris has had his share of solid outings for Houston, including last month’s duel with the Orioles. Baltimore’s lineup was held to three runs over seven innings, while the UNDER cashed as part of a 9-2 mark for the wager in Norris’ last 11 starts.

Baltimore has been held to 2.5 RPG over its last six contests, cooling off after some initial spark following the All-Star break. The UNDER is 5-2 in the club’s last seven spots that followed an off day, while going 11-4 in its most recent 15 series openers.

Look for the octane to stay low again here, adding another cashed ticket for UNDER backers in the wager’s 5-2 mark over Houston’s last seven road games.

MLB Pick:  UNDER 8 ½ at Bet365
