The Los Angeles Angels are aiming for their first four-game sweep North of the Border in franchise history, as they prepare to close out a series against the Toronto Blue Jays Monday night. Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this American League matchup at the Rogers Centre.

A Surprising Stretch
Los Angeles has won the first three games of this series, including a 9-3 victory as +115 underdogs Sunday afternoon. It’s important to point out that first baseman Albert Pujols and outfielder Mike Trout are a combined 3 for 26 at the plate over that span.

The Halos have scored 49 runs and collected 39 extra-base hits in their last seven contests at this ballpark.

MLB handicappers will find that the squad is 5-2 as road underdogs of +100 to +125 this season, with the 'over' going 6-1 in that situation.

Power Outage
Toronto leads the AL in hitting 50 home runs, but it has left the yard just once in this series, while outfielder Jose Bautista failed to reach base for the first time this season.

Bautista will likely get back on track offensively in the series finale, as he’s a .333 career hitter against tonight’s opposing starter, while Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind have enjoyed the same amount of success in that matchup.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the Blue Jays are 18-26 at home with a money line of -100 to -125.

Angels starting pitcher C.J. Wilson (4-2, 3.21 ERA) didn’t earn a decision in a 4-3 home defeat to the New York Yankees last time out, as he surrendered three runs on seven hits over 8 innings.

The left-hander is 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA in three road appearances, with opposing batters hitting just .221 against him.

In 17 career games (seven starts) versus the Blue Jays, Wilson has compiled a 3-3 record and 3.59 ERA, including a 1-3 mark and 4.91 ERA in nine outings at this ballpark.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Mark Buehrle (6-1, 1.91 ERA) has tallied back-to-back victories, including a 10-0 home win over the Philadelphia Phillies last time out, as he scattered three hits over seven shutout frames.

The left-hander is 2-1 with a 3.57 ERA in three home outings, with opposing hitters batting .333 against him.

Buehrle has produced a losing 2-8 record and 4.86 ERA in 21 career regular-season starts versus the Halos.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Angels as one of their MLB picks, as they’ve gone 12-3 in Wilson’s last 15 road starts.
